OMG HEY!

Hey you.

Just thought I'd put in a little Very Potter Musical reference there to set it off. Are redvines good? They look good. Please tell me if they are good.

Anyway. I am GEORGIA, otherwise known as George, Bo, Goggle, Bugsy (As a reference to my apparently huge eyes) or Foghorn (As a reference to my apparently huge voice).

SEMSFOAIDMT. (So Excited My Sombrero Fell Off And I Dropped My Taco). HUNGER GAMES! Has anyone heard about the love triangle between…

TDKR: Catwoman and Madame Defarge

Listen, Jena, don’t take this the wrong way, but I’ve been thinking quite a bit about Anne Hathaway. Since Nolan cited A Tale of Two Cities as chief inspiration for The Dark Knight Rises (TDKR), it’s hard to miss the shades of Madame Defarge, that Dickensian revolutionary, in Anne Hathoway’s Catwoman. Just going by the trailer, we see similarities in the way these two characters think and speak.

In the newest trailer for…

Golden Thoughts of My Generation

We all go through our lives with these moments of sudden "Huh!"-ness. Where you happen upon a thought, a concept, and you wonder whether it has ever been thunk before. Has it ever been expressed, or utilized? One of these thoughts for me was a serrated fork...it had already been utilized, and expressed thoroughly on a patent of binding legality. So, legally, it's not my idea, I suppose.

One interesting thought that I stumbled upon was of a Northrop Frye, who suggests that no…

Summer Project

Recently I've been trying to find songs that represent my friends...the task is almost completely  impossible! At some point I was like "Why don't I write a song about them?!" I tried this, but it took too long. So then I figured what if I have my friends help me write a song, because then it would really represent all of us! So I came up with this summer project to have us write a song that will really incorporate all our ideas and give us equal recognition. So I challenge you guys…

How magnets work (help me get an A!)

Hello everyone!

I have come to seek your help. I have made a short movie about magnets (for school) and i would very much like it, if you watch it.

You see, every time my video is watched, it increases the change of my grade going up! Here you can see the grade system:

100+ views =  + 0,25 extra points

1000+ views = + 1extra point

10.000+ views = + 2 extra points

100.000+ views = + 3 extra points

1000.000+ views = However…

Dumbledore has been exonerated

At least in my eyes he has. While I was writing a modest proposal for English class (based on "A Modest Proposal" by Jonathan Smith) I ended up using the term "for the greater good" And this sparked a thought in my brain, Dumbledore’s letter to Grinewald (Excerpt Below) is a perfect example of a modest proposal, it is a ridiculous and rather immoral suggestion that is phrased in a way where it seems serious but…

Day One: Korra and a Blog a day. (For A year.)

First off Korra:

Did you hear? You probably had to hear, but who cares, I'm freaking exicited.

*Drumroll*

AVATAR: THE LEGEND OF KORRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're hoping for old age Tokka (because Toph would still be badass.)

We're hoping for Korra to be a badass female Avatar (which she will be if I have anything to say about it.)

But most of all we're hoping for the original writing team and a reason to forget that 'The Last Airbender' ever… Continue

Day 176: Things That Amuse Me #13

For today's installment of Things That Amuse Me, I'm going to talk about a musical based on (kind of) a popular series of books.

Things That Amuse Me #13: A Very Potter Musical

A year ago today (or at least a year ago was when it was posted on Youtube), a college in Michigan wrote and performed a musical based on the Harry Potter series. Kind of. It incorporates things from all seven books and does have some similarities with the books. However,…

Strum Power, BOYAA

Whilst bored today and watching one of Hanks older videos I saw his "This Machine Pwns N00bs" guitar [before I carry on I knew about his guitar for a long time but I had new paints] and I was sat beside my guitar which looks plain and a little lightbulb metaphorically pinged in my mind. I then swiftly gathered my paintbrushes and my acrylics and began to pain my guitar. After an hour of paining, ten minutes of drying time and three movies I could look proud at my work. Written on my guitar now… Continue

Day 26: Be Like a Duck (Sandra Boynton)

"No, no. That's not the way to go. You got to go slow.

If you wanna find a rhythm that is oh so nice,

If you wanna find a rhythm, you should take my advise.

If you wanna find a rhythm, I can show you the way.

Be like a duck. That's what I say.

Be like a duck. Be like a duck. Be like a duck. OK.

A duck is so friendly. A duck is so proud.

A duck is never ever just a face in the crowd.

A duck is so clever. A duck is so free.

Don't you wanna be just… Continue

50 Books 2.0.0.9

I'm going to read 50 books this year! I started in January and I might have to up the number to 100 or more. If you have any good ideas for books to read that would be awesome! I usually just walk into the library and browse until I find a bunch of good books.

What I've Read So Far: (Which to my history teachers dismay did not include Centennial or a biography about Ben Franklin...yes I lied I didn't read it.)

1. Beware, Princess Elizabeth, Beware

2. An Abundance of… Continue

A Very AVPM Conversation

So I went on Omegle the other day when I should have been writing my essay (actually I still should be writing my essay), but that's slightly beside the point. Anyway, among all the dull people on Omegle who apparently know little English apart from "asl?" (sometimes even leaving out the question mark), I did meet one person who was quite awesome.

So here's a snippet of the conversation.

Stranger: well let's see if you're like really awesome:

Stranger: does this mean… Continue

A drive by shooting

Ya that just happened. It was far enough away that I didn't hear the shots but it was still to close to home. This sort of thing doesn't happen around here so it's all vary strange. I think the problem is that the other provinces are seriously cracking down on drugs so the criminals are coming to Nova Scotia to grow there drugs witch is all kinds of wonderful.
