Today, a three year old high school philosophy club and several years old book club that I ran last year as a senior, with a couple dozen members total, has lost administration support for content and a faculty sponsor.
Really? Does education really have to go that far? I understand if the teacher sponsor is busy and needs to step out because of a more important reason, but administration not looking for another faculty sponsor and disappointing a diversity of STUDENTS that all love…

Let me let you guys in on a secret... this time last year I could tell you that I read very little at all in the last three years, and this I thought needed changing. So I decided to set myself a task, find a genre, a subject or maybe a series of books, and read the hell out of them. This may sound random to people but I really enjoy reading, always have. I just had very little time to do so. That had to be changed, I…

[Contains Spoiler]
This anime has 26 episodes in total and also out in manga version.
This anime is about an intelligent girl who gets a scholarship to a super rich school, the Ouran High School, to fulfil her dreams. She is actually really pretty but she has tomboy personality so she doesn't really mind in her appearance, also in junior high, a child put a chewing gum on her hair so she cut it short so everyone in this new…

Yes, that is probably the strangest title in the history of titles and yes there are forty-two days until may the Twenty-fifth.

May 25 is a popular day for things to happen. Of the many examples of this, my favorites are Nerd Pride Day and Towel Day.
History of Nerd Pride Day:
Created in Spain as 'día del orgullo friki' literally: Day Of The Pride Nerd or Nerd Pride Day.
It's on may 25th to…

*SPOILER ALERT*
[quote=John Green]
In which we shall discuss such topics as:
1. Holden's feeling of alienation and outsiderness.
2. The book's attitudes toward women (or is it Holden's attitude toward women?)
3. The manner in which Holden's loneliness is expressed.
4. The difficulty of moving from the world of innocence to the world of experience.
5. Anything else.
Thanks for being awesome,… Continue

Wow, I epically fail. For a reason I am unaware of , I didn't know this was here! I LOVE BLOGS!!! ={D <-- That guy totally has a mustache!!! Um... BOOKS!! I totally went to an anime club meeting thing in my area the other day with one of my friends, and it was good. We watched Howl's Moving Castle, which I now love way to much, and while I decided I would just watch the movie, other people made candy sushi. Which is delicious. Some people were making the candy sushi and others were watching…

I read Slaughterhouse 5 my senior year of high school, and it was amazing. Going through everyone's blurbs made me remember how much fun I had reading it and how happy it made me feel. I have only had the chance (time) to read another Kurt Vonnegut books and that is the Sirens of Titan which is another good books. I didn't enjoy it as much as SH5 but if you enjoyed that book, check out SoT because some characters make a suprising return. Thanks for choosing such an awesome book guys!

Yay for Blurbing! I really liked 13 Little Blue Envelopes! Go Maureen Johnson! Anyways, my official blurb is..... *Drumroll* "A thought-provoking, adventurously inspiring read." Excellent book! I can't wait to read the next Blurbing book!
BTW, where I live it's still Sunday, so I'm good, right?
Anyways, Best wishes!

Are we supposed to only have 10 words???
That would be impossible, when im talking about this book!!
I read it about a year ago and loved the plot!!! it combined my two favorite things in books, cute, geeky teen romance (its a good geeky) and different cultures =]
I've always wanted to go tour around Europe, and the fact that she's being guided by these 13 mysterious blue envelopes that command her life for a few months...
All in all, (wow. imaloser)…

You wouldn't believe how nice out it was today. A worm of Robins (that is one awesome collective noun by the way) were hopping all over this meadow I walk through to get to school. A group of construction workers were putting new shingles on a neighbour's roof, someone in the distance was mowing their lawn. (I still can't get over some people mowing their lawns in February). The sun was warm, the sky was clear, I passed one lady working in her garden. I find people here are much like the…

So, I read 13 Little Blue Envelopes, and much to my surprise, I actually liked it. I felt kind of possessed, reading the book until I finished it and carrying myself into the next morning without any sleep. It's kind of weird seeing the sun come up and thinking "Oh god, I should get to sleep."
Aside from that, I've been trying to think of a good blurb to capture, as Hank says, the Essence of the book. I don't think this task is impossible, or even beyond my own…

I just finished the book and thought it was excellent. I found the dreaded one typo, and I also found...Hank's name. To anyone who enjoyed this book, I would recommend the book Betsy and the Great World by Maud Hart Lovelace. It's also about a girl traveling through Europe, being in love, finding stuff out... only it takes place in the early 1900s and is based on a true story.
So... my blurb:
A mystery, a journey through Europe... and her heart
