Golden Age Thinking

*Please note, this entry contains mild spoilers from the movie Midnight in Paris. So, if you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend that you do  :).

I recently watched the Woody Allen film Midnight in Paris. It's the kind of movie I could watch over and over and still experience it again for the first time. The main character, Gil, played by Owen Wilson, reminded me quite a lot of myself. He wants to be a writer, loves the…

My Film Class

First of all, hi everyone. I'm new to nerdfighting but I really enjoy John Green books which is what lead me to this in the first place.

So anyways, I started junior college this week. It has gone very slow up until today because today I attended my Film Appreciation and Film Production classes.

I really lucked out with my Film Appreciation class because it's one that almost every aspiring film student…

Never thought I'd be into this

I’ve always been sort of a movie buff, but I never thought it would go any further than that. I was introduced to this site that lets you go behind the scenes and help to create a movie. Since I’ve been signed up, I’ve been having a blast and thought I’d share my experience.

My parents knew that I liked movies and wanted to think of a gift that was different from the usual gift cards and snowboarding gear. They heard about this website that not only teaches you about the movie making…

2 Fast 2 Furious: An example of film making excellence

It became obvious by the anger in Tyrese Gibson's voice when he told Eva Mendez, "I'm gonna go take a piss," that he didn't trust cops.

And it became immediately clear that Paul Walker let the bad guy go because of his friendship with Rome when he said to Rome, "I think it had a lot to do with you."

And a tear almost came to my eye when, in response to Rome saying he rolled alone, Brian said "Not anymore, bro, not anymore."

This movie does nothing but confirms… Continue

London Film And Comic Con 2009

I've done it!!!! I've gone to, 'London Film And Comic Con!!!'

Even before Diane and I got in, we saw Storm Troopers "Arrest" someone! It was so funny, because Diane is terried of them and so we had to run around them, only to bump into a Dalek!!! It was AMAZING! We hadn't even paid to get in and we were already surrounded by awesome!

As we got in, I ran straight to Starbug and had a photo with it. We started wondering around, me listening to Diane about the fact she had… Continue
