The Nerdfighters site recently reached the 90,000 milestone for registered accounts which is huge. Oddly the most recent 10,000 accounts were created within a year compared to the previous ten. I am pretty stoked that the site is getting bigger all the time, as the Green Bros’ following is getting bigger all the time. But then I got to thinking (which is rarely good news for anyone else I work with on the site :D ) there will likely be many people who are unsure about elements of our…
One thing I have noticed when it comes to Nerdfighters is that, as a community we are well connected to one another. Problem is that the site itself is the main way people stay in contact. So when something happens for example the Ning deciding they want to work on maintenance when it is most inconvenient for the rest of us, that contact shuts down. I received around about 43 e-mail's asking about what happened to the site. It was frustrating to have to e-mail everybody back with the…
Hank, I am a 16 Year old Nerdfighter who wants to thank you kindly for creating this website powered by ning to further unite the intellectual minds of Nerdfighters everywhere. I am a Nerdfighter, I have been for a while. At school I can't 'Geek Out' or be a 'Nerd' because Highschool is a place of suck and people get judged by everyone at school. And I too, have a very intellectual mind. I just don't show it because society is a huge boiling pot of suck. Truth be told, I learned more about the… Continue

I don't know exactly what it means to be "on the Ning." I don't know what I should do now that I am on the Ning. What I do know is that I am a pretty cool guy (who doesn't afraid of anything.) I am not a particularly extraordinary person, but I am fairly funny in person.
If anyone know what I should be doing while on the ning, please let me know.

I love my parents. Thats really sums up everything that I think about my parents. I know too short, but it is true I absolutely love my parents. I have done some stupid stuff failed a couple of classes before, lied about stupid stuff, didn't tell them about something important. But each time, they have forgiven me and loved me and I'm really glad that I have them in my life. They accept me for the person that I am.
I only got up to page 1675 on the photos today.

There has been a lot of rumblings throughout Nerdfighteria about the nature of online community and how perhaps Nerdfighteria is not everything it strives to be. For instance, it can be quite cliquey and difficult to navigate. These things contribute to it being difficult to make any truly lasting friendships. I've even noticed that a few people are starting to wonder if we can really hold up the ideals that we strive for as Nerdfighters. If we are encountering things like social exclusion…
I really want to start doing missions, like playing the lying down game, which I did today, or putting up signs that say stuff like "flush once to enter the Ministry of Magic", "Caution this cubicle is sometimes used as a portal to Narnia" or "Caution- very long staircase. Watch out for slinkies" . I've been collecting missions for a while now, from mystery seeker, MLIA, or just google (praise be to our googly lords).
For the record, I don't like how the Ning is turning into something like Myspace or Facebook with all of its "new features" and stuff, so I will not join any of the groups I get invited to. That's not what I joined the Ning for. It's nothing personal against people sending me requests, I'm just not going to feed into the changes to the Ning that I disapprove of.
Frankly I enjoy The Ning quite a bit, so much so that I want to devote my heart and soul into the moderation of it. It seems as though the most effective way of writing this is similar to the resume you make when your 15 with little or no actual experience, so here goes.
What Jordan has accomplished: -Been a devoted fan of Brotherhood 2.0 since its conception (Pre-Accio deathly hallows)
-Been on The Ning for quite…Continue
John your story about the stairs made me laugh, I had a similar idea except I thought about how many floors in your house did you have. That's why every Sims house I made always had two or more floors and were always large. I thought a two story house meant you were rich, (also having a raised ranch meant your rich, like my neighbor.)
Other than that funny story. :3
Now for the Ning Master. As a recently* rabid ning user.**
Thanks to a couple of particularly busy days I'd fallen behind on my YouTube subscriptions. I first heard rumors of this new word, "Ningmaster," while catching up on Twitter. 'What is this strange thing?' I wondered. And then I saw. Mods. A cold chill ran down my spine. Surely not. I had fallen in love with the Nerdfighter Ning and all it's craziness. How much would these new moderators change? Would my precious Ning become unrecognizable? Would a censorious hush descend upon the… Continue
On Tuesday John posted a video announcing that there will soon be Ning Masters who will attempt to keep the Ning under control. I would definitely be an awesome Ning master, “why you Alice? What makes you worthy to master the awesome that is the Ning?” Well I shall tell you curious nerdfighter. I have been a nerdfighter since they existed; I recently discovered a terrible drawing of Harry and Hermione in my journal from second grade, along with a fanficton entitled Harry Potter and the Terrible… Continue

There are a great many reasons I want to be a Ning-Master. I want to be a ning master because I love nerdfighting with a strong and fiery passion, and I have felt very sad that the Ning has become less and less used. And...what happened to My Pants? The world of nerdfighting seems to have moved away from the ning, and i would kind of like to bring that back. First a little background. My nerdiness began long long ago probably in about first grade. I would spend hours reading and reading and… Continue
Hi, so I'd love to be a ning master...I think. I'm a relatively new nerdfighter and though I do get what ning is I do not understand what being a ning master encompasses. I'm typing this and watching the little red dashed go under the words and seeing as I have a spanish placement test tomorrow I'm not going to spend extra time copying and pasting this in word and the running spell check, sorry if that drives you insane. If somebody could explaine what a ning master is exactly I can accurately… Continue

So, I'm up later than usual tonight. I think it's because I've grown too fond for the ning. Maybe that's a good thing...
Anyway, I've pretty much been avoiding the sun. This is typical of me in the summer; can you tell that I prefer winter. Tomorrow is the Fourth of July, but I'm pretty un-patriotic. I asked my dad if we were going to be doing anything, and he said that we'll probably go to one or two movies. That is awesome in my opinion. I love going to watch movies. My friend Maureen,… Continue

Who thought that two brothers making a vlog about non-textual communication could be so wildly successful and bring about a movement to really improve the amount of awesome in the world? For those of you who don't know, I'm talking about John and Hank Green of brotherhood 2.0. A vlog that started on Youtube and has garnered an avid internet following. People who watch the brotherhood call themselves nerdfighters and even though the term was coined by Hank and John, I'd have to say I am and… Continue
