Real Life Friends

So yesterday I wrote about fictional friends and how books lead me to find people and personalities that, although they aren't real, I will count as my friends for my whole life.

Then today, almost as if life is reading my blog and thought this would be the perfect follow-up post, a book lead me to make a real life friend.

I can't say we'll be friends for the rest of our lives, but a comment about a book leading to discover you have many things in common is pretty…

Obligatory First Blog Post

Hello, hello!

So my name is Gabriel Iglesia, or just "Gabe." I'm currently heading into college, starting classes in October, and just about to head into the process of moving from my hometown of San Diego to the middle of Ohio. In the final days of high school, I had the idea of starting a blog detailing my journey after graduation and my thoughts down that road. I started such a blog several weeks ago on Tumblr (…

I've Been Addicted to Benedict (See what I did there?)

For starters, I am so incredibly Sherlocked it is not even funny. It's one of those fan-girl obsessions where I'm like, "Benedict Cumberbatch will bear my children." I mean, he's 35, so it's not like I am seriously considering accepting pedophilia as a valid marriage option, but still. Benedict Cumberbatch in his Purple Shirt of Sex. Yeah.

While on the subject of Cumberbatch, I have to suggest a movie of his which has now become one of my favorites. It's called…

Titanic and Sherlock

 OMIGOD.

I found this Sherlock (love that show) fan fic called "Alone on the Water" (link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6914974/1/Alone_On_the_Water).

IT IS SO FREAKING SAD.

I ugly cry everytime I read it. EVERY TIME.

It makes it worse if you listen to Sorrow by The National. Its...just...so...WWWWAAAAHHHH.

I'm a freaking zombie in school because of it.

IF YOU ARE…

OMG HEY!

Hey you.

Just thought I'd put in a little Very Potter Musical reference there to set it off. Are redvines good? They look good. Please tell me if they are good.

Anyway. I am GEORGIA, otherwise known as George, Bo, Goggle, Bugsy (As a reference to my apparently huge eyes) or Foghorn (As a reference to my apparently huge voice).

SEMSFOAIDMT. (So Excited My Sombrero Fell Off And I Dropped My Taco). HUNGER GAMES! Has anyone heard about the love triangle between…

I think

My room has so many posters in it that I actually have no room for my new Sherlock quotes. I have some AVPM and AVPS stuff here and there, a half wall sized Doctor Who poster along with about 10 more, Hunger Games, Back to The Future, Red Dwarf, Pirates of The Caribbean and Harry Freakin Potter...it doesn't sound like much, but I seriously have no room on my walls. I'm thinking of moving to the ceiling. Either that or I'll have to use TimeLord science...but that has proven difficult despite…

Annoying 5 fact blog

Apparently I have to jump on the bandwagon for this 5 facts thing... at least it's not required that I do a vlog :P

1. I lived in Cannes (France) for 4 months and had the time of my life, and acquired my only tan. I walked the red carpet at the film festival, and volunteered for AmFAR, and traveled to other cities as often as money and time allowed. Almost all of my insane stories (and brush with celebrity) come from this experience. Study/living abroad should be made available to… Continue
