I'm seeing so many adverts on YouTube for Gatsby: The Movie, I haven't finished the novel so I'd like some feedback on the release of the film... Are we excited for the movie? Nervous? Angry? Couldn't give a monkeys buns because you love Leo DiCaprio in everything? Have you already illegally downloaded it and are ready to give me a review? Where do you stand on this?

Hello, um, people? Friends? Readers? RANTERS! Hello Ranters. I recently read 'The Fault In Our Stars'. I know, I didn't really know if I liked the John Green books, I was content with having read 'Looking For Alaska.' I was honestly quite scared. I didn't want to disgrace the name of, like, my favorite youtuber, by not liking the book. But then I sucked it up, and bought it. I wanted to be in the little party aswell!
I am reading 'An Abundance Of Katherines', but before, I was…Continue
Hi Nerdfighter community. I am pretty new too this site and the works of John and Hank Green, but I am already a big fan. I was watching a recent Volgbrothers video when I discovered that John and Hank are both huge Mountain Goats fans. Well it just so happens that I am as well. It also just so happens that I hope to one day be a music journalist critic. So I thought it would be fun to post my 7 favorite Mountain Goats songs along with a review of each. I was hoping for peoples opinons so I…Continue

I just bought the The Fault In Our Stars audiobook today. The woman reading, Kate Rudd, is a surprisingly good voice actress for Hazel. At first I didn't think she could ever match the amazingness that is John reading it but then in the bit when she meets Kaitlin at the mall she does a really good imitation of her slightly British accent. I love the way her voice changes ever so slightly for different characters.
I am, in fact, listening to the audiobook right now as i'm writing…Continue

I am just a dandelion – as every person inhabiting planet earth. Eternity is a concept beyond my grasps and comprehensions. It comprises of thousands, billions of momentary lives – like mine and yours. We flicker on and out. We are here one moment and the next we may be gone. How much…Continue

We've all had that feeling when we discovered that we are liked by too many people at work. If this is something that plagues your day to day existence then follow these simple rules to truly alienate yourself from your colleagues

I stayed up until 4:32 last night reading The Fault in our Stars by our very own John Green, and OH. MY. GOSH.
If you haven't read it yet (haha) then READ IT. BY GOD, READ IT.
I actually bought the book a few months ago, along with Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (another book that I'd recommend). I read Miss Peregrine's Home etc., but not TFios. My reasons? Well, to shorten the answer, I was afraid of it ending. I was afraid of reading it…Continue

The title most certainly doesn't lie! I was a little skeptical at first because from being a child I've always known Tobey Maguire to be spiderman and couldn't picture anyone else in that role. Boy was I wrong. Andrew Garfield is perfect in this movie. He captured not only the sarcasm and humour of Spiderman but also the vulnerability perfectly. I love everything about this movie and it has catapulted Spiderman further up my list of favourite heroes. Everything from the acting, special…Continue
The movie was brilliant. The entire film was crafted with wonderful precision and would make any Batman fan, new or old, proud. The film was fulfilling and well worth seeing over… and over… and over… and over…
And to those who were hesitant:
Anne Hathaway was purrrrfect (pun intended). I called from the …

Why Dumbledore is similar to The Doctor. I don't know if this is something people post on here regularly.

First off, to any UMass Nerdfighters out there, a big thank you from the bottom of both my hearts for your excellent welcome and your kind feedback. Thanks are specifically due to my lover, Missy, who steadfastly hung in there for me and videoed my performance, and the Game Hobbyists' League, who put it on- quite specifically, the members on duty on the last day of the con, who let me do my thing while herding gamers around. Not an easy task.
It went fairly well, though I…Continue

Yes, this blog is about The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
Yes, I know everything is about The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.
No, I don't think it is old. Nor do I think it will ever be old because it does not have the capability of being old. Have you forgotten that it was written byJohn Green? Let this serve as a reminder.

I wish to live as a hobbit, hobbit!
In a hole in the ground in the summer,
I hear the green grass calling, calling!
Oh fair the earth as rich as a king.
I wish to live as a hobbit, hobbit!
With hair on my feet and flowers on my brow,
A place that's warm and kind as spring, spring!
Friend of elf and keeper of green.
I wish to live as a hobbit, hobbit!
Over meadow, valley, and…Continue

Listen, Jena, don’t take this the wrong way, but I’ve been thinking quite a bit about Anne Hathaway. Since Nolan cited A Tale of Two Cities as chief inspiration for The Dark Knight Rises (TDKR), it’s hard to miss the shades of Madame Defarge, that Dickensian revolutionary, in Anne Hathoway’s Catwoman. Just going by the trailer, we see similarities in the way these two characters think and speak.
In the newest trailer for…Continue

There are very few moments that create the feeling of that proverbial shift in life. Once in a while if we pay attention, we may notice something that inspires us. This inspiration is the driving force that we define as growth.
I have just finished The Fault in Our Stars, and I am left speechless. This beautiful and tragic story has the unique capability of also creating a sense of duty. I do not feel that I will now go and change the world—or even myself—but I do have a…Continue

In which I re-write "The haunted Mansion" and complain a great deal.
The Haunted Mansion: How it should have ended.
I have just finished watching "Disney’s The Haunted Mansion", I was thinking how many opportunities the script writers missed to write a genuinely entertaining and challenging script, all by omitting one character.…Continue

I finished this book yesterday. I read it in one sitting. That's how amazing it was. Usually I'm not a big fan of the teen romance genre. Yes, even not when the book is written by a nerdfighter and contains some nerdy references (Sorry Stepfanie Perkins}; But this book, it was just so cute. I can't think of a better way to describe it. The story was more than just a cute romance though, it had depth, family issues and that stuff; That's one thing that makes this book more…Continue

My room has so many posters in it that I actually have no room for my new Sherlock quotes. I have some AVPM and AVPS stuff here and there, a half wall sized Doctor Who poster along with about 10 more, Hunger Games, Back to The Future, Red Dwarf, Pirates of The Caribbean and Harry Freakin Potter...it doesn't sound like much, but I seriously have no room on my walls. I'm thinking of moving to the ceiling. Either that or I'll have to use TimeLord science...but that has proven difficult despite…Continue
