My neighbor has a new puppy. His name is Messier. I thought he must have been named after the famouse 18th century astronomer. I figured that my neighbor must be more of a nerd than I thought. Apparently the puppy was named after a hockey player. Goggle tells me a good one. So 1) I am clueless about sports, and 2) I am a nerd. As if there was any doubt.

i'm currently listening to "third eye" by tool, which is a long enough song that i might finish this post before it's over. the opening of the song includes some spoken word by bill hicks. there are bits of his comedy routines on youtube, and i recommend taking a look. according to the FAQ on his site, he lived within a few blocks of where i currently do, when he was on this earth.
