"It snowed right before Jack stopped talking to Hazel, fluffy white flakes big enough to show their crystal architecture, like perfect geometric poems. It was the sort of snow that transforms the world around it into a different kind of place. You know what it's like--when you wake up to find everything white and soft and quiet, when you run outside and your breath suddenly appears before you in a smoky poof, when you wonder for a moment if the world in which you woke up is not the same one… Continue
*This is by far the most favorite note I have ever wrote, and one of my best pieces in my opinion. It has so much meaning, and fairly good imagry.
The bitter cold air nipped at the tip of my nose as I stared fixedly at the golden glowing lights, waiting arms out for the platter of homemade fudge mum was going to hand me. In my anxious anticipation I stamp my feet impatiently, longing for the warmth and familiar setting of the house beyond.
I went to Daniel’s house, MY BEST FRIEND AND BIG BRO, and that butt was still half asleep. I had 5 hours to wake him up. Our friends canceled on us so we had to find more people ‘cause he was gonna cancel if we didn’t.
He doesn’t love me enough to hang out with me in public TT^TT
We spent about 3 hours calling everyone on our phone and facebook lists. Then, he was like “Oh, I wish [insert other female best friend he’s replacing me with here]…
Not an awful lot has really happened in January. Most of my friends have now gone back to university, good luck to them and best wishes (and to everyone at university); learning more things on the ukulele, such as Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas; slowly trying to get fitter and healthier.... Oh! And going to Canada on Saturday for skiing and to see my brother who is currently on a ski instructor course out there in a resort called…
I stayed up until late last night (morning?). The time on the clock when I shut off my light was 4:04. And I thought 'This time zone doesn't exist.'
I'm so lame.
Also, last night, my mom and I watched this movie we got for Christmas called Despicable Me. And you know the one villain, Vector? Not only is he named after the mathematical term Euclidean Vector, used to represent physical quantities which have both magnitude and direction, but his hand sign? Yeah,…
It's that time of year! 2010 is very nearly finished, so everyone starts talking about the BEST books they've read all year. I've listed some of mine and separated them between books that have been published DURING 2010 and then also included some books that I've only READ for the first time this year. Please, please do share your own favourites in comments or feel free to write your own blog post about it and share the link in comments. If there's already a forum thread about this that I'm not… Continue
As Ningmaster for images, I will be posting once a week with some image related news, games and, of course, several featured images. This is the first of these, and so I feel an introduction is required. My name is Clive Davidson, I am a full time student studying math(s). In my spare time I do amateur graphic design and make videos for my collab channel Clive's Angels. A brief introduction will suffice, I think I need not explain how I can be an eleven thousand two hundred and seventy five… Continue
I made my Nerdfighters account about half an hour ago. I'm currently doing an ECDL course in an institution of this fine country. As a nerd, this gives me a WHOOOOOLE lotta free time during the day, and I just don't know what to do with it. I've listened to the entire lord of the rings radio series, I'm coming close to the end of the hitchikers guide to the galaxy radio series, and there's really only so much music a man can listen to without going crazy and killing everypne in the room by…
I just kept all of my lights off for several hours (in an attempt to save energy and be nicer to plants) and burned through six, count them, SIX candles!
I had to keep pouring the candle wax out into another Styrofoam container. I ended up filling up the cup and letting the wax dry. Then I ripped the cup off of the wax and ended up with a big candle full of brand new wax!!
So then, I stuck a few matches inside the candle and lit them. That created a brand new… Continue
Ladies and gentlemen I am incredibly excited to announce that Best Wishes is now moving into the next phase of development! Best Wishes is of course the title for the NFmovie project and it has defiantly started to take on a life of its own.
First a quick recap. Best Wishes started development eight months ago as an idea which was taken to the Ning in the form of a forum thread and a group (…
Why am I starting with an email address? Because I would like you to do me a favour, I say me but I really mean my friend. My friend who is at his first term at uni and despite talking to lots of people and doing lots of things he is feeling a little lonely. I’m sure we’ve all been though that and because he doesn’t go clubbing and drinking he feels a little on the outside.
That’s when I thought of you guys, I know all about the power of… Continue

As you probably don't know I recently posted a discussion topic brainstorming an idea about a way to feature Nerdfighters who do work in areas from art to writing. I have discussed with ningmasters and the Nerdfighter Gazette, which is a Nerdfighter based newspaper, and this is how its going to work. Once a week i will post an article on the Nerdfighter Gazette, and paste a link in this blog, featuring a talented Nerdfighter who has abundant and exceptional work. I will… Continue
I lived in a small neighborhood by a library and a 7-11. Those were the highlights of my childhood. Also, there was a large cornfield behind the lot of houses that made the neighborhood. I met my best friend when I was six years old. Now I was a loner as a kid, mainly because I was the only girl within three blocks of my house. The closest thing i had to a girl friend was my babysitter, who was seventeen. It wasn't until one war summer day on my way home from…

Harry Potter is going up against Twilight for best book catagory...Harry Potter MUST win or i will personally burn my twilight books. I own all the books because I did like them at one time but NO LONGER! just to make that clear...lol!
Yesterday the mayor declared our city in a "state of emergency". This leads me to believe that perhaps, just MAYBE, the snow will form into a large monster and take over town. At least I have a store area under the house, albeit full of empty wine bottles from probably close to twenty or more years ago. The people who lived here before us were big drinkers I guess. Also, they dented a lot of things with their wheelchairs. My home has a history I was not a part of.
