thoughts n°1

I am not an american and really have no particular intrest in the sport (appart from it's system of distributing funds equally amongst teams to promote fairness, unusually socialist for the US), but I recently came to thinking that american football could be improved upon immeasurably by adding two players on each team whose job it would be to use the blue and orange portal guns, so the ground would be portal-able and each player would have a portal-able area on his chest and back.

Book Review: Gathering Blue, by Lois Lowry

This will be a short review because there's honestly not much I can say.  I was rather surprised and disappointed.

I have read two other books by Lois Lowry: Number the Stars and The Giver.  Both of them I remember being quite good; the former compelling me to read it twice, and the latter giving me the idea that her books are most commonly read in English classes (we read The Giver in grade 9 English).  And so, though I hadn't read either of those…

Superbowl and BSoD

Well I watched the Superbowl with my friend's step-family and laughed at nearly all the tackles. That touchdown "buttdown" was silly, I was like

"Why the hell are you slowing dow- oh that was dumb BWAHHAHAHAHA!"

Then I played a little more on my friend's Wii, I'm currently playing LoZ Skyward Sword ever…

House Music

Every year my school has a competition called "House Music", where each house has to choose a theme and put on a performance based on that theme. My school has the traditional four houses, yellow, blue, green and red. The houses are named after four previous Head Mistresses, but to protect the privacy of my school I'm going to call them Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and... Gryffindork.…

Day 7 (Leo)

So lets see I was born on August 10, 1992. So that would mean that I am a Leo. I really don't believe in most of this stuff so I had no clue what all Leo's where about so I had to look it up.

This is the website that I am going to base my response on.

Leo Strengths: Confident, Ambitious, Generous, Loyal, Encouraging

The Last Maze Affair

Well, over the last couple of days I finished The Masuda Affair, The Maze Runner and The Last Little Blue Envelope. I found all of them very good, though Maze Runner and Blue Envelope were my favorites out of the three.

So The Masuda Affair (I.J. Parker) ended up not being a mystery…

Advanced Classes are for Advanced People

So, I'm taking Advanced Business Tech Essentials. Basically, you learn to use Windows programs that businesses use or something. I have no intention of going into business, mostly because it involves numbers... which I don't like.

Anyways, it's supposed to be, you know, harder than a normal Business Tech class which was a piece of cake. I mean, I realize that not everyone spends hours a day on the computer like I do, but why would you take an advanced class if you can't do the work?… Continue

My computer hates me

A couple of weeks ago, i was having a battle with my computer over whether or not to delete a script that was supposed to override an error that i had discovered. I was very annoyed to discover that, after i had placed my handwritten script into the correct folder, my firewall found it, classified it as a virus, and attempted to erase it. At first, i started to laugh, because the error the script was going to erase was an error that made it impossible to delete anything at…

Day 60: Chicago Day 1

Well, I had one person say she was interested in my trip to Chicago. So, I'm going to talk about it now.

Last Saturday, we met in the Loft at 6:00 in the morning. It was fun. I did notice, though, that, despite the fact that I had to get up at 5:20 in the morning, I wasn't tired on the trip to Chicago. This may be because I went to bed early. I think the actual reason was because I was excited for the trip. Had I had to get up at the same time for class, I wouldn't have…

Blue Ribbon Campaign for ME/CFS continued...

I mostly lay in bed, but most of my energy goes towards promoting and raising awareness for the Blue Ribbon Campaign for ME/CFS.

It is such a devastating disease, but so few people seem to know it. I've started a website called http://www.BlueRibbonCampaignForME.Org . It's a work in progress.

My brain is exploding with ideas on how to get the message across. I'm… Continue

The Art of Multitasking

So, it's Easter.

Hope everyone had a very happy one today.

My family decided to head down to the beach for the week, so that's where I'm blogging from now. There's no wireless signal at the moment, so I'm on Mom's computer. It's interesting trying to write one of these with your parents (specifically your mother) looking over your shoulder (keep catching her out of the corner of my eye).

Also, she almost dropped the Easter Lily my Dad got her looking for the bag… Continue

Really Need To Start Writing These Earlier

I did start out well. Honest.

One problem I seem to have is keeping things interesting in my own life to actually translate in to something to write about.

Went to the Cape Fear Independent Film Network social gathering tonight at Bottega Gallery. These are always fun. Had another great chat with actor Dan Donovan and with Jenn Mullins.

Other than that, nothing really happened today.

So, I guess I'll just talk about… Continue
