Why T.V is turning me into a zombie

I have to admit, I haven't been very active on this site (this is my first blog since joining). But something has recently come to my attention and I felt it would be important to share my experience. I also wanted to record my last few days before becoming totally zombie-fied.

To those who are confused (which let's face it, that's probably everyone who reads this blog because zombies aren't known for their coherency), let me start from the beginning. The gradual decay of my brain…

Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life

I love going to the movies.

Sadly, the offerings from Hollywood as of late have been less and less interesting and "must see" compared to when I was a child.

Leave it to Edgar Wright to give me back my sense of absolute wonder in the movies.

Thursday night I went to see the midnight showing of "… Continue

Book Review: Borrower of the Night (Elizabeth Peters, 1973)

See, this is what happens when you put off reviewing a book for a long time. You don’t get the review posted on your blog until almost a month later.

Elizabeth Peters’ protagonist art-history-professor-and-sometimes-amateur-detective Vicky Bliss came into being with this book, the first in a series of about seven or eight. I noticed that the characters spoke a little strangely (e.g., actually using “shall” in its proper place in a sentence), so I flipped to the title page, and discovered… Continue

Nerdfighter Family Vlog Project

Hi, Nerdfighters. You may remember me from my front page blog posts: Nerdfighter Wedding and Nerdfighter Goes for Youtube Scholarship. If not, well, that's cool, too.

But, anyway, my wife (you know, the one from the Nerdfighter wedding) and I have been discussing starting a collab channel for a long while and after months… Continue

SexySexy Times Survey:Bigger, Longer, and Uncut

Warning:This blog contains large pictures, videos, and links. It may take a little while to load.

Christian the Heretic tagged me to do this survey. I've been spending less time on the internet and ning lately so I'm a little behind in getting it done. However, I've had many hot celebrities floating around in my head thanks to this survey and I finally had to sit down and just finish it. And since I not only like to put off projects, I like to increase their difficulty, I've added… Continue

Book Review 2: Dreamquake

I've read this book once before and I must say it was better the second time through. The Dreamhunter Duet is one of those series that you have to re-read. The plot is so complicated, and there's a ton of foreshadowing. Of course, all books have foreshadowing, but re-reading books causes you to find the more subtle foreshadowing.

I really don't feel like posting a summary of this book, but I will tell you a little about it. Dremquake by Elizabeth Knox is a fantasy that takes… Continue

Nerdfighter Wedding

Okay, well, as some of you already know, Nerdfighter Elizabeth and I are engaged and getting married in May. And, while Brotherhood 2.0 was not responsible for our meeting, it was something that we could share, which then inspired our year long pursuit of vlog nirvana. John and Hank are directly responsible for getting us into vlogging. So, while the Nerdfighters didn't bring us together in a nuclear reaction of awesome, a… Continue
