This is going to be a very different review. For a very different book. I read "The God of Small Things" because my dad wanted me to read it. I think he said I should read it because of my own interest in writing, because I am always inspired by the brilliance of authors. It took me quite a long time to read this book; two full weeks I think, which is kind of ridiculous. It wasn't that it was a difficult read (I've read more difficult books faster than that) or that it was boring (it…
As the title of the Blog suggests, this is in fact, about prayer! It's been on my mind for a fair wee bit and I'd figure one way to get it outt'a me system would be to write typed it all out. Heck, what could go wrong? ~People could think that you don't respect one of their most priced beliefs~ Quiet contradicting voice within my head! ~ You know I'm right ~. God damn it..
people dont believe in religion due to the lack or a physical god but what i dont understand is if religion is a spiritual thing then why cant a god be spiritual instead of physical?
personally, i am not religious although i come from a long line of christian/catholic people (my mind is more science based). i respect religion and what it offers humanity however i do not buy creationalism.
people do not buy the 'stories' of the bible (or equivilent) however who said the…
So i watched clash of the titans and i must say it was fairly decent. I liked it i thought Perseus was played pretty good. I have never read the book and i do not know for sure if this a remake of the remake or a remake of the remake that's based on a book or it just based on the book. I did some research today because it got me thinking and interested in Greek Mythology. I found out that Perseus according to some website is like the great grandfather of Hercules which is also his… Continue
Okay, so I'm a poor kid. I'm not going to explain too much more, just think of the poorest friend you have; that's me. Yeah.
And today, my mother got paid! So, obviously, we went out to go get things and have fun (for once). Oh yes, we're not terribly responsible, but where's the fun in that? (We did get plenty of necessities, I promise!)
Soah is a girl from a small village. The Water
God is upset and so a long drought has been devastating
the village people. In order to appease the god, they marry
Soah off to him by sacrificing her to the Water God in
exchange for rain. The Water God rescues her to his Water
Kingdom, where her new life begins. For Soah,
this is a story of her… Continue

So, I really think I should be considered a nerdfighter. I read Harry Potter and sing with the cast of Glee. I'm in drama and my favorite movies are 7 Brides for 7 Brothers and Yours, Mine, and Ours (with Lucille Ball and Henry Fonda). I have celebrity crushes on the young Dick Van Dyke and Howard Keel and the people I aspire to be like most are God, Lucille Ball, and Angela Martin. I get high on my chemistry green problems and love getting math homework. I MUST be a nerd.
I was arguing on the nerdfighter government forums that before we start seriously writing a Nerdfighterian Government constitution, we need to research the great historical works of philosophy and discussion of government. I wanted to blog our findings so other nerdfighters could observe and help build a Nerdfighter consensus on the responsibilities. Since I am interested in the Bible's perspective on these issues and am already familiar with it, I am going to start with some of… Continue
Alright, so maybe not the whole world. But it appears to be a lot of it. I turn the corner, BAM! "I love Jesus." I turn the next corner, BAM! "I hate fags." Sometimes you can go about your life doing what you do, being around others who do what they do without noticing a hideous thought. But eventually that thought becomes loud and clear and a ripple effect occurs and sooner or later you know quite a few people's thoughts and you realize they are all the same hideous thoughts.
But a… Continue
I originally had every intention of writing two blogs today, but after eating my feast of Chinese food, I kind of passed out. So, instead I am going to repost my FiveAwesomeBloggers blog (which I finished before dinner):
