So, you may remember awhile ago, when I reviewed those two books that I would talk about why I had so much free time. And then I proceeded to not do that. The reasoning behind that is simple. No one pestered me about it. Since I am no longer writing a blog every day and since no one brought it up all the time, I felt no motivation to explain why I was able to finish two of the books on the list. But right now, I'm going to. As soon as I make lunch.
I've decided, as a writer, that I should really have blog. Almost all writers have some sort of digital blogging or vlogging website. See John Green (DFTBA), Scott Westefeld, JK Rowling, Cassandra Clare ect. all have some sort of website to let their readers/viewers know what's going on both in their writing life and their personal life. After watching the wonderful videos of the Vlogbrothers, I fell in love with the Nerdfighters. Both John Green's writing and…

Here's a thing that irks me: People who think that all teenagers are FAR too inexperienced and haven't developed enough judgement to fall in love. While this is very true for several teenagers, it is so far from the truth with others it's laughable. How can you possibly know what you're talking about unless you've experienced it? Well, that's the question that I want to ask. Show me your points, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that no teenager could ever legitimately fall in love.
In which Hank mostly talks about is crazy-pants nephew, but also about cultural vs. genetic evolution, and the fact that we all sometimes forget that we are not normal, and that most people are not like us, but that does not mean that we can't love and support each other.
There is a chance that this blog post will contain a few links but trust me it's all for the better enjoyment of what I'm putting.
The other day over a late night facebook chat Al and myself started looking back at some rather fantastic kids TV shows from our childhood. Now I was only born in 1986 so I can understand that looking back to a "better" age might be a bit strange (I mean I'm not looking…
Hi Nerdfighters! I don't know how many of you out there are parents, but I have a 9 year old boy who can be rather impossible in the morning before school. This morning, I decided I had enough of his nonsense. I turned on the computer and pulled up the Vlogbrothers on YouTube. John's pee-wee/gut story, followed by a viewing of the Anglerfish song, had my grumpy boy laughing and put a whole new spin on the morning routine. Thanks guys!!! You made our day (again).
The one where I talk about what St. Jude does and how you can help. Please help us out. Rate, comment and favorite this video and others like it. Woohoo! Let's make this world a better place for the kids.
Tomorrow I am going with a group to a church mission. We are staying for 4 days. During the trip, we are going to take the little kids that live at this shelter and go to the zoo and other attractions with them. Its going to be awesome. Even though we have to sleep on the floor and have no electronic access to anything, it'll be worth it because we are helping to decrease world suck. And that's what nerdfighters do best. ;-)
This poem is kind of just an explosion of what I was feeling one day. Very little editing-I kind of mentally threw this one up onto the paper.
I like to color.
It makes me happy, ok?
It’s like right now it is my very own
I like drawing with papers and markers-
The washable kind from Crayola.
I like dancing.
The kind of dancing that just goes to show
How much you don’t care that people… Continue
So here's the deal hockey fates. I promise I am not watching the Pittsburgh/Philly game. I'm not watching because I know you don't appreciate it when I do watch. For some reason that I can not understand you refuse to let the Pens win when I watch. It's playoff time and I can't risk it. I swear I only watched about 5mins and I'm no where near the tv to watch now so it's ok if they make a come back ok? OK?
Why do they try to make EVERY Disney "star" into an actor/singer?
I guess it started with Miley, but does every single "star" have to sing AND act? Let's do roll-call: I mentioned Miley, then you have Mitchell Musso, Emily Osment (that's all from one show!), the Jonas Brothers (who started as just singers, but Disney had to turn them in to actors as well), Demi Lovato, Ashley Tisdale (and the entire HSM cast)...
The list goes on, but that's all the names I can think of at… Continue
