So...

This girl I like. She's pretty awesome. She's an Anglophile, Whovian, and Potterhead. She reads comic books, listens to awesome music, and she's very attractive. The best part is that she's a nerdfighter. She's virtually perfect. The thing is...I think she's hung up on some other guy.

I'm not gonna sit here and complain how nice guys finish last or whatever because that's bullshit. The "nice" guys who finish last are the one's who objectify and just wanna bang the "hot" girls;…

John and Rainn Wilson Talk Romance

In which John has a very special Monday talk (which does not supersede John's Tuesday video) with Rainn Wilson of Soul Pancake about the big stuff, namely romantic advice. While Rainn's advice is sound, the video takes a turn for the decidedly unromantic, and the draining of cysts is discussed. Romance takes a back seat, but bromance ensues.

In Defense of Romeo and Juliet

Listen Jena, you might’ve seen this thing posted around Facebook, and I want you to rest assured; the lady on this e-card is wrong about Romeo and Juliet. Don’t be tricked by her sassy glasses or smart suit. Maybe she’s still frustrated about the D she got in high school English and is now taking it out on Shakespeare. So let’s look at this pink nonsense one step at a time.

Body Count

First of all, Romeo’s and Juliet’s…

Love and Romance of Trolls. HS

Their understanding of romance is divided into halves, and halved again, producing four quadrants: the FLUSHED QUADRANT, the CALIGINOUS QUADRANT, the PALE QUADRANT, and the ASHEN QUADRANT.

Each quadrant is grouped by the half they share, whether horizontally or vertically, depending on the overlapping properties one examines. The sharpest dichotomy, from an emotional perspective, is drawn between RED ROMANCE and BLACK ROMANCE.

RED ROMANCE,…

I'm the doctor... RUN!

Ladies and gentlemen, your mind is now victim to my words. You will absorb them slowly, and as the letters seep down into your soul and steal your heart, you will smile because you know deep down inside,  that I'm no where near as brilliant as I think I am :)

Hello there. If you're reading this, you've stumbled upon my nerdfighters account and I applaud your stumbles because it gives us a chance to meet. :)

Let's see... I'm Donna, nineteen, awesome.

Symbolic Vessels

(Also posted on my DA account here- http://fav.me/d4nzq6r)

I had a dream last night which pretty much seems to sum up my life at present:

I am stood at a quay by a jetty, across an expanse of water a distant shore can just be glimpsed, this is where I need to go, and I'm in a hurry.

From here you can borrow boats as long as they come back here eventually, there are no boats although there are many spaces to contain them, so I…

Goat Mating Is Weird

In which John witnesses his parents' goats mating, including all of the weird foreplay that precedes goat sex, like the part where the male goat urinates on his own beard and then rubs it all over the female goat, and then the part where the goat humps in all the wrong places. A thoughts from places only with more goat intercourse than usual.

Our mom will be making…

Book Review: Watch For Me By Moonlight, by Jacqueline Mitchard

To be honest, I found this book kind of... disappointing, boring, dull, annoying... I don't know. I read the first two Midnight Twins books in the spring, and I know that they weren't fantastic, but I don't remember being annoyed by them.

There are two reasons mainly that I disliked this book, and they are the same two reasons that I usually have for disliking a book: a) the writing style, and b) the romance.

a) Sometimes I don't like a narrative style…

My Paper Wish

"...I wrote this for you..." "...more than a feeling..."

i decided to write you to improve my penmanship. i don't know if it's improved or not, imitating people's handwriting.

i miss you like ths sun misses the flower in the dead of winter. across the frozen desert i long to fly to be safe and warm in your arms. to hear your voice across the darkness: calm, comforting, and cool. i dream of awaking to your sweet breath playing across my face as you push my…

Hello, there's a boggart living downstairs. Do you have book suggestions?

Hello NF,

I am new to this community of nerdlicious people. I hope you are well today.

Today marks the third day of the downstairs corner neighbor thumping something heavy in their apartment. It is my belief that this woman is a witch and has a boggart sealed away in her wardrobe. At first I thought perhaps she was an inventor, constructing a behemoth machine to do her evil bidding…and make her breakfast, tidy up, you know general evil housekeeping. But if this was the case I…

Red string

So I am blogging here as the person it regards is not on Nerdfighters and I need to write this down somewhere for the sake of what little sanity I still retain, somewhere where they have little chance of seeing it.

What it comes down to is this: I am in love with my housemate, I told them shortly after we moved in together that "I liked them as more than a friend", but they said they couldn't see us together and just wanted to be friends, so that's how we stayed. But just…
