Roses are pink, violets are purple????

Well as you know how about just any lame poem starts out " roses are red, violets are blue" well it was brought to my attention that roses and violets were named after the french words rose and violet meaning pink and purple so that poem doesnt make very much sense at all does it??? well i had a conversation with a friend who happens to live in france about this and after much debate i thought of a qoute " That which we call a rose, by any other name would smell as sweet" ~william shakespear~… Continue
