Online Video about Online Video

In which Hank does not show you lots of clips from VidCon because that would just be mean...also because there's no way he'd have enough time to edit a vlog like that in time to put it online.

Good lord I am tired, but VidCon is awesome, I wish you were all here.

Book Review: Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary, by Brandon Mull (***SPOILER ALERT***)

Yes, I just read another J-Fic book.  I've read the first three Fablehaven books and quite enjoyed them, so naturally...

What I love most about this series is the creativity.  The writing is by no means brilliant, but every aspect of the story is incredibly imaginative.  The characters are deep and likeable, the plot is detailed and captivating... some of the events that take place, particularly in the fourth book, make me think perhaps it should be moved to the YA…

Darren Shan, and how I both love and hate to finish books.

I just finished reading the final book in the Darren Shan Saga, the Vimpire's Assistant, and I feel empty. Not as empty as I felt after reading Harry Potter, of course, Darren Shan hasen't followed me since I was 9 years old or so..but still, empty.

The books has made me laugh, cry, it has made me wanting to skip school and read instead, and to throw the books into a boiling pit, and never see them again (no spoilers here).

After all, tho the 10th book was sort of a…

Help Create a Funny Fantasy WebSeries

Hey Folks,

I'm producing a new Fantasy/Comedy web series - in many ways it's similar to the Guild, and in other ways it stands completely in it's own league.

Please check out the video below to learn more about the project, and see some clips from a previous web series, we're spinning off of.

Check out…

Watching Doctor Who

I have only started watching Doctor Who (2005) four days ago, yet I am already in the 3rd series episode 4 ( I am waiting for it to load right now). Watching Doctor Who is what I do for most of my day (from 1pm to 3am), aside from writing my novel and watching the television, that is why it only takes me 2 days to finish one series. (I am not used to calling it "series", I am used to calling it "season"; but that's one thing that makes UK different from USA. Just saying. Lol.)… Continue

RONFR: Favorite Book Review #3: A Series of Unfortunate Events, by Lemony Snicket

Hi there! Remember me?

So, my reading of favorite books has continued. (I'm currently on book 10.) And I've also been keeping up with the book reviews . . . on YouTube, that is. The written blogs? Not so much.

I apologize to those of you who've been following me on here. I will be posting reviews for books 4-8 over the next few days. In the meantime, here's book 3. (Incidentally, when I say "book" I sometimes mean "series." If a series is all one story, like this one, then… Continue

I Just Had A Thought

So, I've been working on an idea for a series for a while now. I always say that it's "like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but the whole team is like Xander".

Well, every time I try to write the characters, they just end up becoming the basic "save the world at all costs" types. But, that's not the show I'm trying to make. I want this thing to be something unique. While I love shows like Buffy, Angel, and Doctor Who, the characters I'm creating aren't those people.

They're just… Continue

Some Things!

My friends and I are having a Valentine's Day party tomorrow and we're all making valentines for each other--because we're essentially a bunch of elementary school kids who have graduated college--and guess what the theme of my valentines are gonna be?

Give up? Darwinian pick up lines!

"If I were an enzyme, I'd be DNA Helicase so I could unzip your genes!"

"I may be highly evolved but I still like to monkey around!"

"When I look at you, I get all… Continue

Football beats baseball: More!

I can't believe I failed to mention what's about to come, but seriously... More reason to think football is America's new pastime.

Pretty much everybody has at least heard of the Heisman Trophy, even if they're not really sure what it is- they know it has something to do with college football. As this article points out, not many people realize there's… Continue

Football beats baseball

Since the Superbowl is going to take place relatively soon, and since I'm such an NFL enthusiast, I'd like to make an assertion: football has replaced baseball as "America's pastime."

Hold the phone, right? No, seriously, I think this is true. Let's just start with some observations in my own experiences.

First, something I see every day- and have seen every day for as long as I can… Continue

I'm Feeling Nostalgic...

Anyone else remember shows like Hercules: The Animated Series or Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers? I'm going down memory lane because reported that Toon Disney (a cable channel that airs old Disney cartoons like the ones I mentioned) will be turning into Disney XD in February. Disney XD will be, in simple terms, for boys, like the Disney Channel is for girls. There will be new shows that boys ages 6-14 will be interested in, like a show about skateboarders and a boy… Continue

A Near Climax of Nerdfighterness

Ok. I just watched the teaser trailer for the upcoming Star Trek movie.

And I practically climaxed. But they don't call it a "teaser" for nothing. I guess I'll get that release this Christmas...

I was raised on Next Gen. I don't remember all of it, but I know I watched all of it when I was little.

The Hilton in Vegas has this museum/ride called the "Star… Continue
