I'm not going to say names, but i love you.

After my grandmother died, my grandfather left and my family was a upside down mess of emotions, morals and trust, i decided to reflect upon what i stood for. I watched my mother struggle to be compassionate and my father struggle to be fair when both my parents had taught me the importance of compassion and fairness. Even though these emotions are dear to them, they fought the constant battle to keep them true,. What moral and values will I fight to keep even during the…

We've started a vlog!

Hey fellow nerdfighters! So, I know I don't really post much (this shall change, I swear on the grave of Thorin Oakenshield), but my friends and I have started a nerdvlog together! We'll probably just be talking about random nerdy amazingness. We do fight against suck, and we even mention a JOHN GREEN NOVEL in the first post! Give us a look and maybe some ideas for topics to discuss if you'd like. We hope to entertain you in your fight against suck!

(By the way, sorry for the cruddy…

Excerpt from my novel Toothsome

Mayor Aesopop of Grail - a town in the forest whose people live in hallowed trees -

stood at the podium for the town meeting. Questions were instantly fired at him by Grail’s frantic people. “What are we to do? Should we leave? Where will we go?” A voice cried out over a great gaggle of voices.

The mayor told them, “all that can be done has been done. A sanitorium has been established a great distance from here.”

“How can we be certain that this Sanitorium is still…

I Need To Simplify My Life

As of Today (today is capitilized because I felt like it), I need to simplify my life. The easy way to do this is go get rid of a bunch of extra-curriculars. Drop out of something, quit something else, and just make my life that much easier. But it's much more difficult than that, because I was raised with the "You do not quit anything ever" attitude that makes my parents' lives (as well as my own) so busy and barely manageable. We all tend to put more things on our plate of life until…

New Here

Hello fellow Nerdfighters!

My name is Liz. I'm 23 and I currently work as a waitress at an Indian restaurant, but I really want to be a lighting designer for a theatre or a bassist in a band. So I'm working towards that.

I have seen John and Hank Green's videos throughout my college life, but it wasn't until recently that I've been watching the videos repeatedly. I currently love watching HankGames, and…

Funny Story

I forgot about this, so I tried to create a new account. It said the email was already taken. So, I tried about 10 passwords and I found one that worked, YAY! :) Well, that's not that funny of a story...but then I found $20. Just kidding, I heard that if your story just dies, like mine just did, then you should say you found some money and everyone will be ok and go on their merry way.

Hello, I S'pose

Hi, my name is Liz and I'm a Nerdfighter.

And proud of it, baby!

I am indeed a proud nerd and I love being geeky and stuff. Like most nerds, I'm obsessive over whatever I love at the moment, but am undyingly loyal to whatever I did love.

I'm writer so I write things for fun. Instead of wanting to a famous author someday, I wanna be a screenwriter instead.

I always thought my skills were more honed for the screen instead of a novel and I…

Three years to wait though ...

so one thing I've been thinking about a lot in the last few years (since I first really came across this subject really) were tattoos. Most tattoos have stories and tell you something about the people they belong to and I think it's really fascinating. It's a bit like a diary entry, each one, a rather important one most of the time, maybe.

Anyways, since I got into that subject I stared to plan my own tattoo (because I really liked the idea and all that), taking me months to make a…

Catch Up

This post has no particular point...just kind of me talking about random things.  First off, I witnessed LaFawnduh cleaning the shower today.  She had a bucket of water and was literally throwing water, with her hands, onto the shower walls.  I know this is random, but I'm watching Wednesday's episode of Survivor and Russell bothers me SOOOOO much!!!!!  Ewwww he's just so...yuck.  Not as bad as Phillip's pink underwear though *pukey face*.

My first blog post as a Nerdfighter...

My entry for what I like to wear on my head is a little lame (but I still love my black touque).  I have a book here with some designs for knitting much more interesting hats.  Or perhaps I should think outside the hat-box.....

I enjoyed filling out my Nerdfighter profile.  I hadn't thought about some of those questions before, specifically the stuff on head one and the happy dance one.  Still easing into being active on this site.  Am looking forward to…

I need goodwill in Denmark

Since we in Denmark make our goverment pay for puplic health and homeless people, the only store somewhat like Goodwill is Red Cross, which is mainly cloth donated by older people... I say great... the only problem is that there isn't anything I can use almost half the time... also the Red Cross stores is often very small and never have that much of a selection...

I went online to try to find somewhere were I could find a goodwill store, and it made me think that the real reason we…

Facing your problems

So many of us have problems in our life but some of us are to scared to deal with them, I am one of those people. Why? I'll tell you that.

About two months ago I, on accident, told my best friends mother that she skipped a class to travel with her mother, what I did not know was that the mother did not know this. Instead my friend had told…
