Since i was a little girl i have watched and grown up with star trek, my little brother and i learnt all the words to the beginning sequence, my best friend was even named after one of the characters, in other words i was a massive nerd. In my high school years I was defiantly an outcast, but at the age of 14 i discovered Harajuku fashion and anime, these were my new loves, i spent hours looking at fashion shows and reading blogs about Harajuku. My Friends were not as enthusiastic about…
Would you rather live on the TARDIS or the Enterprise?
I confess I am a Neophyte Trekkie, so some commenters have pointed out a couple points I didn't address in my video. But my opinion still stands. Leave your opinions in a comment or make a video response!
Tonight, at 9:16 pm, my brother's wife gave birth to a perfect baby boy.
When we brought my brother's 3-year-old daughter he said to me, "Look at this, we have a Princess and a Geek." While I have no doubt that my niece will be a geek too (she already reads like a monster), this seemed to be all that was on the mind of my brother and I. WE couldn't wait to get him into the Star Trek science officer onesie that I had bought for my niece after she was born. The first thing I said when I…
It's a website by an engineer named Dan who seems to have figured out how to build The Enterprise spaceship using existing technology. He thinks it can be done in 20 years with a mere $1 trillion, and of course, it would take…
In my oppinion, there are 3 types of spellrs in the world: those who carn't spell, those who can spell, and those who think they can spell (the worst in my oppinoin). In case you haven't noticed, I am a terible speller, and I openly admit it. This is what you get when I dont use spell check. Anyway, Im just goning to talk a little about each type of speller.
The I'm-not-even-gonna-try-and-deny-it bad speller: as an offisal…
And by briefly, I mean it will be just a minor mention to get to another topic.
So, when I went to see Avatar , I was struck by a specific piece of the score. It was familiar to me, but I couldn't place it. It was a trill of trumpets used for battle and action scenes in Avatar and I knew for sure I'd… Continue

Exactly how many times to I say 'anyway' in this video?
It is probably important to note that while this video involves snow and movies, it does not involve snow movies...except that part where theres snow in Star Trek...anyway.
I just watched Hank's review of the latest Star Trek and I have to agree completely with him. There were a few clumsy bits, but they were decently camouflaged. Other than that it was great.
But more importantly. Since Spock Prime and...Eric Bana came back through time and changed Kirk's and all of Vulcan's future, there is a whole new and shiny Star Trek universe just waiting to be re-explored! It's like in one fell wormhole the clever writers wiped the slate clean! I can see how… Continue

After the attack by the rogue Romulan mining ship captain, Nero, destroyed the Vulcan home world, the few remaining survivors found themselves directionless and disenfranchised. In the course of a day, a once intergalactic superpower was reduced to a small handful of nomads. Some wondered whether this would be the end of the race altogether. But the Vulcans are a resilient people, and not to be underestimated. With no world, or, indeed, even a nation to speak of, the refugees banned together… Continue
Yes, so, did I love it or hate it? Well, my friends, I freaking LOVED it! True, it bothers me when people do not read a book before a movie or in this case did not watch the television show beforehand. Well, I am guilty as charged. :( But thankfully I have a father who is an ultimate Trekkie. ^_^ So even though I'd never watched the show, my dad would tell me all about it. So I knew the basic gist of it. And most… Continue
hey, im new here and youtube and i have made vlog about me being nerdy because it is something about me that im proud of and im not afraid to let the whole world know. . . .
after posting this i got a message saying
"you spelt country wrong, are you sure you are a nerd?"
the person who wrote that obviously not a nerd, which exactly shows the lack of understanding among people of nerds, there is massive diversity when it comes to nerds and not all nerds like the… Continue

I just went and saw the new Star Trek movie today. I waited till I got home from seeing it to watch Hank's video review of it so I could watch the whole thing. He encouraged us to comment on it more on the Nerdfighter site, so here goes.
First of all - a disclaimer. I am not a Trekkie. My best friend used to be one (I don't know if she is still). The only incarnations of Star Trek that I have seen are the movies Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (which stars future… Continue
