Stories of the Weekend and Chapter 4 of New Moon

First things first; CRAZY WOMAN ON THE 87 BUS!!!!!!!  She was talking/yelling into her sleeves, hair, and eventually people's faces about how we "have to call da poleeece to shut off da macheeene...the government eez going to keel us all...they're going to blow your brain out!!!"  This went on for about 25 minutes or so.  Needless to say, it was a very uncomfortable bus ride since, for most of that time, I was standing about 3 feet away from her trying to hang on to my little leather…

Angie Reads New Moon - Chapter 2 From Biology Class With Soybean

Chapter 2 was much better than Chapter 1.  However, Stephenie Myer has made some big contradictions and there are a couple of MAJOR editing blips.  Sorry, but I actually really don't feel like typing all of my thoughts out...the link to the video is right here:    so just watch that...and visit the channel at…

Images Not To Upload [Clive's Pet Peeves]

[Opinion alert! This blog contains a multiplicity of opinion and little hilarity, take my word for it.]

This is not your average bear image blog. I have been seeing far too many images that are  irrelevant, repetitive or simply annoying ; so I hope I can inform the masses as to the most appropriate images to upload, IE:…

Supernatural!

As a humungous fan of supernatural, I was a little disappointed when I watched the premiere of season six. However, now that the season is warming up I'm so excited. After watching the third epi today (The Third Man) I must say I'm really happy about the direction they're taking plot now. I was a little confused when theu dropped the whole Samuel story, but I'm sure it will pick up again soon. The third episode was good in quite a few ways, and contained something that we only started seeing…

Jacob the... Unicorn?

So I'm going to rant for a minute on my discussion. I posted a discussion called "If Edward was a zombie what would Jacob be?". I recieved five answers in total (at time of writing this Blog) which isn't a lot but I went into writing the discussion thinking I wouldn't recieve any answers. So I'm pretty happy with my first disscusion.

The answers varried from shot guns on the walls of pubs (response by Rachel), and Milla Jovovich (response by Nik Rawlins), also a resoponce about Jacob…

Eclipse Review

The other week, I went to see Eclipse with Dominique and Jennifer,

which was really awesome, since I went to see New Moon alone awkwardly.

I've got four pages of notes, so, you know, this should be fun, I

suppose.

Overall, a HUGE improvement for the movie adaptations of the books. I

will admit that Eclipse was one of my favorites of the books, and New

Moon my least favorite, so I'm a tad bit biased, but I felt that this

one had a lot less overacting and… Continue

Joseph White (from Twilight Moon)

My Dad refers to Twilight as "Twilight Moon" because he thinks it's funny. I also think it's funny.
We went over to my cousin John's house last night for his graduation party, and right inside the door was a life-size cardboard cutout of Taylor Lautner in his Jacob persona. I jumped.
The rest of the night, everyone who went anywhere near him would scream, gasp, jump, or any of the above.
John's sister's boyfriend bought it under the pretense of getting it for…

Best (Nerdy) Party Ever

So, yesterday, I went to my friend's birthday party. In a word, it was awesome. At least for me, one who rarely leaves her computer chair. This little soiree was also our opportunity to give our Secret Santa gifts to each other, but I haven't gotten to that bit yet.

When I arrived at his house, I played and INTENSE game of air hockey with my friend Scout. It was wicked intense. Seriously, that girl can hit a puck, just ask my mangled fingers. I'm not going to tell you who won, though. That… Continue

Nerdfighter Twilight haters=hypocrites

Obviously, I'm a Nerdfighter. If I wasn't, I wouldn't be on the Ning. Everyone here is supposed to be kind and supportive because, no matter what, we all have one thing in common here: we are all nerds.

So tell me then why even in Nerdfighteria, people ridicule and belittle Twilight. It's just another thing for us to be passionate about, just like Harry Potter, Star Wars, or Anime. Everyone on here should know what it feels like to be alienated and teased because of something you… Continue

Carl Sagen and Autotune... another rant

I have never been very interested in young adult fiction. As a young adult, or even pre-teen, I thought the genre was patronizing. It seemed like librarians were just trying to convert pop-culture consuming, unwilling readers into their realms. Frankly, libraries were better off without the entire section dedicated to teen romance novels and their readers, thanks. I was (and admittedly am) a bit of an elitist. Public school tends to do that to you.

Anyways, back to my point. Adults… Continue

Twilight

But that's not what my dad calls it. Henceforth I shall also be referring to it as Twiglet.
I love my family.

i thought this was interesting enough to share.

Book Three: Eclipse

The plot revolves around a villain from the first book, who is stalking Bella. But this is just a background to the real plot, which is about Edward stalking Bella. The book focuses on the choice Bella must make between Jacob Black and Edward Cullen, two tall, good-looking, devoted men with cool supernatural abilities. This is exactly the kind of problem that normal women face every day.

Halfway through, Stephenie Meyer realizes that Jacob Black is far… Continue

A MovieStop-Centric Day

Today was a day full of MovieStop related things.

Aaron came over to work on the edit for the Twilight Midnight Release Party video so he can fix all the little quirks that keep bothering him. He's trying to put together an optimized version that he and LeAnne can show around. I'll be sure to post the new video when it's up and running.

LeAnne, Aaron, and I went out to Old Chicago for the first time in a long time (first time in a while that LeAnne hasn't been working on a… Continue

The beginning of a beautiful relationship.

I mean, hopefully. I don't really care if anyone reads this or not. One-sided relationships can be fairly gorgeous and fulfilling. Ask my ex-stalker. He enjoyed it.

Anyways, I thought I'd get this out there about the Haunting in Connecticut. The documentary... effectively scared the crap out of me. The movie... not so much. The part in the movie where the crazy angry dead guy comes up to that kid, and he has the writing all over his face... anyone see that episode of Doctor Who, The… Continue
