Excerpt from my novel Toothsome

Mayor Aesopop of Grail - a town in the forest whose people live in hallowed trees -

stood at the podium for the town meeting. Questions were instantly fired at him by Grail’s frantic people. “What are we to do? Should we leave? Where will we go?” A voice cried out over a great gaggle of voices.

The mayor told them, “all that can be done has been done. A sanitorium has been established a great distance from here.”

“How can we be certain that this Sanitorium is still…

Favorites

The Favorites box CUT ME OFF! ARGH. So here is what should have gone in that box:

-------

Books. Hard to pick a favorite, since I read so little (changing that!), so I’ll pick the ones I’ve finished recently: Scott Pilgrim, Ender’s Game, Speaker for the Dead, Blonde Bombshell, Hunger Games trilogy, The Boy Who Couldn’t Sleep and Never Had To, and I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF TFiOS. Will probably move backwards through the rest of John’s books.

(Okay, now I have to do…

Hello what's up??

Hi I am Gwyneth and I have just started a vlog with my friend Haley at (http://youtu.be/scIuRR5r3XU) we are the ScolasticusGirls... I thought that I might as well start a blog to okay okay so today I filmed a video in bad lighting and then I watched TorchWood. Torchwood is really good (I just spelled to different way and neither are right but give me a break I'm on my phone) it is a Doctor Who spin off (Doctor Who = amazing btw) about the organization… Continue

Thoughts from places

Hello :D

I was recently on holiday in Whitby (yes I'm British) and whilst climbing on some rocks I started randomly thinking about stuff and this conversation with myself occurred.

When I was dodging around a rock that looked scarily unsafe and said to myself (in my head) "Uh oh, better not tempt fate." Which then made me think "is there fate? Is fate like, this person who's just up there, making bad things happen to those who tempt it or good things happen…

Nanowrimo

I kind of have been inspired to do Nanowrimo after watching John's video. Even though the month of November is over, I still might do it. Maybe in January. I have a few goals this month while I am on break such as do a couple art projects. I love to draw, but I have not taken an art class beyond the basics. I think art is really neat, but if I do do art I am going to have to get used to people looking at my art work. I had such a hard time turning my art homework in because it was not finished.… Continue

Wow, there's a lot.

So, I am officially getting my braces off on October 30th, the day before Halloween. I am pretty excited about it.

Also, I am Fangirling over the finished Twilight trailer. I watched it like, nine times. I just about melted.

AND, my birthday is on the 14th, which is the same day as my school's book fair. I know it's a sign. Happy 16th to me.

On the downside, there's PSAT's on the 15th. My life, the downside. That would be a great title for my life's story.

More, my computer… Continue

Testing.

There's a bunch of GQE's flying around here. They all suck really big. Yeah. On the small plus side, regular classes are only about 20 minutes long. That's awesome because I didn't read my World History chapter. Whateverrr.

So, yesterday I went to the library and got this awesome book called Fabrication. It's a totally abstract way of looking at the way things are made. The author, Susan Neville, is so creative. It's not even like I'm reading an educational type book at all.… Continue

Blahh.

My internet is broken. That is sad news indeed.

Anyway, I'm back in school and I guess I'm happy with it. No on else that I know is a nerdfighter, so it's some pretty lonely business talking about John Green and awesome by myself.

Right now I'm reading Dream Girl. It's pretty good. Next I'm on to Devilish and then Girl at Sea. I seriously can't believe that I found two Maureen Johnson books at my library who's YA section is stuck in a little corner. They don't even have… Continue
