hello
hi! i finally made time to sign up as a nerdfighter in nerdfighteria, i'm new as you can see, i just started watching the vlogbrothers not long ago, what encouraged me to do so is my favorite book i have ever read, which is "the fault in out stars" by John Green, i started researching about the author and i found out that he had a vlog account and i started watching them, i just started to join this community and i'm currently still in the progress of figuring things out, so if this isn't a…

Three (Bookish) Ways to Prepare for "The Dark Knight Rises"

Listen Jena, when he was young, poor, and hungry in Paris, Hemingway used to go to museums. He said his hunger brightened the colors of every painting he saw. With critics giving The Dark Knight Rises a standing ovation at an advanced screening, the wait for this movie is killing me. So, rather than sit and listen to my stomach rumble, I thought it best to let the hunger brighten some other good pop. Here are three ways to prepare for The Dark Knight…

To get me to be responsible.
I will be blogging every day for...as long as I feel like it. A year seems about right. So, every day for the next twelve months, I'll be putting up a blog post here. I don't care if people read it. Well, that's a lie. People can say that, but everyone cares. Everyone cares what everyone else thinks. You may act like you don't, but you do.
I'm gonna change the subject, since I don't have much else to say about that.
I'm going over to my friend's house later.…

Achievement unlocked: Vlog disliked.
I have achieved my first disliked video on Youtube! I have no idea why this feels like an achievement, or why I felt like blogging the occasion, but if it is reason enough to happy dance, then there is reason enough to let Nerdfighteria know. At any rate, I would like to say that I'm starting to have fun with this, but it still hasn't ceased feeling like a chore yet. I do want to do more, but money is still tight, so I've been working on doing all of the filming in one punch still. I…

So, in looking through my blogs to find out how many days I missed, I realized that I didn't actually have to post a blog today or tomorrow. I started blogging on the 7th of January last year, not the 9th. I will post a blog today, since I promised one, but I probably won't worry about posting one tomorrow, since I'm moving back to college and all that crazy stuff.
Looking back over the past year, I have to say that I'm really proud of myself. I only missed 6 days (not…

So far, so good.
I am up to four vlogs, and one complete week! I'm excited, because this means that I am getting closer and closer to this becoming a habit. I've hit quite a few roadblocks along the way, but stresses aside, I was determined to keep it going. My schedule has been kind enough to give me enough time to film, edit, and upload on the days I've allotted, but in a couple weeks, my days off will swap to Tuesdays, and Thursdays, so my afternoon-evening uploads will probably become a post-midnight…

2011 - A brand new shiney year.
First blog of the year! Would have done one on the 1st but I had only slept for around less than 8 hours in the last 48hrs of then. I have had 12hrs now so I can type properly!..... anyway..... 2011.
This year I'm going to make the most of it. I'm taking time out from university as I withdrew early December following increasing panic attacks. There was nothing wrong with the people or the course or anything for that matter, but the panic attacks and everything that comes with them…

Working on the Whole Vlogging Thing
I've been challenged by a friend, whom I met through the liveshow this week, to make a vlog for every day this month.
I made the first yesterday, published it about 20 minutes late, but it's probably the best vlog I've ever made to…

NEW YEAR
So yeah.
It's 2011. Happy New Year, nerdfighters!
I don't feel older or newer or anything. I just feel like I have to go back to school on Monday and that's not alright with me. I don't wanna go to school! Plus I have this big chemistry assignment to finish tomorrow because I neglected to do so over break.
But, anyways, here are some of my new year's resolutions:
Get at least a 4 on my AP chem test (and, you know, understand…

Almost a new year!!!!
So its the last day of the year, I kind feel like its a OK so moment, does it really mean anything other then there will be a 1 instead of a 0 at the end of the date IE 2011 instead of 2010. because its cool and all that people celebrate that its a new year but does that mean that I have to as well... I don't think I should, but I will make cookie because cookies are awesome, but back to my thoughts. Since time does not stop does it really mean much that…

Tonight shall be the start of the first day of the rest of the year.
I've been planning it for four years, when I found out such a thing was even possible, but I put it off. The line must be drawn here--this far, no further! I will break away from the blogosphere's gravity and reach the vastness of vlogs. I kind of feel like I'm starting my own nations space program with this jump, because even though I'll be doing the same thing I've always done with a blog, this will be my undiscovered voyage.
I have made this my commitment for the rest…
