Today, I want to talk about something that I know effects a lot of us on a daily basis. Feeling like your not appreciated or that no one recognizes the work you do. Being a teen in today's society, I feel this every day of my life. Feeling like no one understands you and and that you should have more of voice is extremely…Continue

I am a relatively new member to the Nerdfighting team. I'm genuinely in love with it. Everyone has been exceptionally kind and open, regardless of where you are or what you believe in. It's kinda the first place I felt I belonged. I love hearing everyone's ideas, values, morals, etc. It's kinda been amazing and so I'd like to thank all nerdfighters for being awesome and accepting. <3 DFTBA

As of two days ago, my house got Internet. For the first time since September 2012.
You got it, nerdy folk. I went through practically my entire junior year of high school in a public education system that assumes all students have Internet and assigns tasks as such.
I deserve a medal. A big one.
I had just gotten used to roughin' it at home, in the middle of no where, then BAM, we're back online, and all I wanna do is surf until I get keyboard calluses on my fingers…Continue

“Where words fail, music speaks.”
― Hans Christian Andersen
Music is the one thing that keeps me going. You can find a beautiful melody in something so strange, that it provokes you to tears. Even the greatest musicians/artists/songwriters experience this moment of greatness. The mass of great compositions and songs grows every second. You can go from something as simple as…Continue

So today I decided to post the story I'm currently writing on a forum that I visit very often. I created the post and was about to copy and paste the first paragraph. I opened my story in WORD and just as I was getting ready to select-copy, I noticed a grammar mistake. I quickly fixed it and again was about to copy the paragraph, when I noticed another mistake. I fixed that one too. And then a third mistake appeared And a fourth. And a fifth. It was at this time that I began to notice that…Continue

I don't have a twitter account, I do not "tweet", mainly for the reasons that it scares me the amount of influence 140 characters has over anything, and that the people on there are, sometimes, imbeciles. However, I respect and occasionally fear the intelligent, tech-and-social-savvy users; if you are one of these people, congratulations.
What annoys me, however, is the attention span of the human consciousness.
Here, in the UK, the most popular tag on twitter…Continue

"Succinct" isn't something I've mastered to a T yet. I've got cynicism, drawing, fantabulous hair and bountiful levels of aspirations and optimism (highly aware of the juxtaposition to the cynicism) all mastered and under my Batman belt, stored in my repertoire of things I have mastered to a T, but succinctness, dancing and larger wrists are all things that I have not got mastered to a T.
I've attempted to create blogs in the past, and have either gone off on tangents, been…Continue
So I recently bought Looking for Alaska, when I was on vacation in Glasgow.
I'd meant to read it for years.
And I didn't start reading until I was back home.
And as I opened the book, out fell this letter.
And here's what it said:…Continue
I've just joined the Nerdfighters, and I am so excited that this community exists. I grew up as kind of a closet nerd. I mean, my whole family are nerds, so nerdiness is entirely accepted and encouraged at home. My older brother and I grew up with successive versions of Star Trek. Star Wars was a staple too; my brother had lots of Star Wars toys, and one Halloween we went as Luke and Leia. My mom even did the coiled braids at the sides of my head. I apparently took my princessly role very…Continue

Today I was watching the news with my aunt and my uncle, and Bill Clinton was in Rwanda being interviewed about why he visits there as often as he does and if he feels guilty that he didn't respond to the horrible genocide that was occurring in the country at the time, and I had just recently watched John's and Hank's videos on the subject and was proud that I wasn't ignorant of the event.
While preventing ignorance is a great thing, it is another thing to have to try and…Continue

I guess the post title could be "Honesty" since that title was unnervingly honest ("Honesty? What is this 'honesty' you speak of?" quote the raven of American society...or most society, really).
Original ideas for the title include "YOLO" and "You Only Live Once?"
But before you scramble in the other direction, hear me out. I am typing what I'd like to call an enjoyable (if not completely time-wasting) blog.
If you haven't heard of the acronym YOLO, it stands for "You…Continue
So...I think I am becoming what you could call a semi-annually regular blogger. Since I am not allowed to vlog, I think blogging could be the next best thing. However, basically, since no one reads my blogs (which is very understandable) I am writing to myself. So...Hi self. I would continue writing to you, but I would like to keep the possibility of someone who is not you reading this in my mind. The best way to do that would be to write as if I am talking to that someone who might one day…Continue

This is a thank you to everyone who subscribes and watches my videos, it means the world.
In which Hank discusses the extreme dangers of puppies, kittens, puppies cuddling with kittens and our continuing path toward hypercuteness and what it means for our lives and the lives of our children.
