A Whole Lot of Fucking Time.

So at the end of 2011 I started a solo home recording project called The Nose Cola, I released the first "Album" under that name a few months later, It probably should have been better thought out and more rehearsed, but in the end I can't change it. Shortly after that I began recording new tracks for an album called Native Sounds, which started off good and productive but was soon subject to massive re-writes, and then re-writes again, leaving me…

That doesn't make any sense.

So I was talking to someone, and I was telling them all the music I love, and I said the usuals, Some Classic rock, Alternative, Folk, Punk Rock, a bit of metal. But once I mentioned that I also like Rap and Hip Hop, this person is just like, oh, I didn't know you were one of THOSE people, and then left. What the hell? Is it really that bad to enjoy Rap? it's true, there is a lot of crap in the hip-hop community, lots of stupidity and greed. But if you look underground at people like Hodgy…

Album Reviews.

So recently, I've wanted to do music reviews, so I think I might do that. I'm gonna try to set up a blog on some website and if all else fails I'll just do it here.

Something Happened

I used to come here to help myself feel better when I feel really shitty, and I feel really shitty a lot, but today I came on the chat and told people I was feeling down, and this guy just gets up in my face being sarcastic and generally a jerk. I'm really upset right now and I could use someone to talk to, but I don't have anyone, If you read this it would be greatly appriciated.

Humanity

Dear humans, you, all of you are the product of over three billion years of successful evolution and survival. We are the survivors of countless trial and error situations based off of differing genetics. There are few species that can survive in as many places as we can, that can evolve and adapt to new environments as quickly as we can. Most organisms do not have a brain to be aware of their existence, yet we, the humans, have a brain capacity to accommodate art,…

The true natural beauty of suburban life.

I went outside to take out the trash, it was a typical chore, one I'd done a thousand times before.

It was just before winter in my part of the world, and winter in the Willamet valley meant rain, and lots of it.

Buckets of the stuff pouring from the sky, day in and day out. It reminds me of that short story "All Summer in a Day" by Ray Bradbury, though inherently, it only rained for a couple months at a time, not 7 years as in the story.

Our neighborhood was never the…

You've become the one that I look forward to talking to every day =). I hope you know that, when I wake up, I look at my phone, and all day, I never delete your texts until completely necessary. I don't know why I'm so obsessesed, but I love the feeling =) thank you for making my life better.

Love Thom.

Concentrating on a Wall (With a city outside).

Today I went downtown with my friend Marc. The downtown aera of Portland is an interesting place, I've been there of corse many times with my parents, but never before by myself without supervision. I remember as a kid always being a bit mad at my mom because whenever a homeless person would ask her for some change, she would always decline, I can understand some times, but sometimes I feel like the person genuinly needs some help. There was this very old frail man in generally nice clothes,…
