This blog is coming to you in three parts.
Part 1: Blogging
I love blogging. I love writing about a load of different stuff. Unfortunately, lately I've felt compelled to fragment my blogs. I separated my reviews into another blog and, because I've been crafting so often lately, I've been thinking about a craft blog.
Which is, frankly, ridiculous. I have a blog. Several, in fact. And several is too many. I've been putting off these entries…

I've been home for three days now, and I'm still not done cleaning.
Ridiculous.
Well, alright. I'm done with all the preliminary work: packing up college-only stuff, integrating leftover food stores into the familial ones, getting seriously tremendous amounts of laundry done.... I'm finished with all that. I've just got the detail work now.
But with this whole crafting thing, there's a lot of detail work. I had a box full of plastic bags waiting for me. While…

It's official! I'm a small business owner. I made my first sale on Etsy today. That's so very exciting.
Especially because I had to do a presentation on my Etsy store yesterday in Managerial Accounting. The assignment was to go to a business and ask the owner questions about the costs of the business. Hunt required us to look at a business that we'd be interested in running, and, because she had us write papers about ourselves and where we see ourselves going after college, she had…

Guess what, people.
It's allergy season. My eyes are burning. I keep sneezing. My sinuses are congested. Fun times all around.
So, because of the traffic in the Writing Center and my own inability to complete things on time, I've been sleeping less and less. I've been waking up between six and seven, and not going to bed until about two in the morning.
With little to no napping. I'm not counting class.
And that's definitely weird. Because I'm…

I've always hated these last couple of weeks before finals. There's always this influx of work to do before that last class. The classes require little to no effort for the whole of the semester, but once you approach those last couple of weeks, you've got too many big assignments all due at the same time.
Now, I'm not saying that my major is in any way difficult. The business classes here are easy to pass if you've got half of a brain cell still in your skull. The other majors all…

I have an energy problem. I am either completely lethargic and do not want to even breathe, or I have an abundance of unfocused enthusiasm.
This is why it's so easy for me to become obsessed. Obsession provides a channel for my energy to funnel through. I burn off the energy researching and analyzing, downloading and reading. The information hording gives me something to do with my so obviously empty life.
And if I'm in one of those lazy moods, it's easier to continue with…

Someone needs to chill out with his obsessive episode watching. Seriously.
Oh wait. That's me. You can all yell at me for my lateness if you want.
And because I'm posting this entry on Good Friday instead of posting it yesterday, it's going to be about religion. Even though yesterday was Holy Thursday. I can't remember what I was going to write about yesterday, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't Catholicism.
And there was an incident with my mother this…

I know I said that Buffy wasn't going to become my new obsession. I know.
You should all know better by now.
But I promise, I won't go on and on and on about it for hours like I do with everything else.
When my brains decide that it likes something, it will find one thing common to the entirety of the thing and latch on and NOT LET GO. Like a Rottweiler. A smooshy, brainy Rottweiler. And it will dwell. It will take that thing into itself and examine every…

Again, late blog post. My bad.
Today, we're going to go a bit old school and talk about my day. Fear not. I've learned from years of self-centered writing and I can almost guarantee that this won't be as awful as entries I've made in the past.
This entry will start with some information on the human body. The human body needs nutrients and an adequate amount of water in order to survive. This morning, my body decided to let me know that I did not have those.
Fun…

This week's online schedule is a bit muddled due to some video editing problems on Wednesday. I had planned to get the video done early in the morning or afternoon, but I ended up working on the video all day without being able to finish it before I finally gave up and left it. Yesterday I downloaded the free trial of Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9, which I'm considering buying at the end of my 30 trial, and was able to post the video.
I was then, however, distracted by Buffy the Vampire…

I wish I could make myself focus and read actual books while I'm at college. I've got a problem with reading here. It takes me forever to finish a book unless I'm absolutely dead set on finishing it within in the next couple of hours.
Admittedly, there has been a trend of books I've wanted to read and finish immediately. It started with John Green's Paper Towns, moved quickly on to John Barrowman's autobiography Anything Goes and the Torchwood book The Twilight Streets, then Let It…

Earlier today, I was browsing about the internet - checking web comics, reading blogs, that sort of things - and I was hit with the urge to make a new website.
Don't worry. I didn't spend all day putting one together.
But I thought about it, and I went back to look through my old website. My oooolllldddd old website. Back when free hosting via FortuneCity was still considered a perfectly acceptable way to go about making a website.
Anyway, I was poking around…

As most people in real life have learned, I get bored or distracted easily. I spend about sixty-five percent of my classes asleep or not paying attention. I drift off during conversations. Hell, sometimes I get distracted by my own thoughts and cannot finish my sentences.
No, I don't have ADD. I simply lose interest in something if it isn't challenging me mentally.
At this point in my life, the real world isn't mentally stimulating. I'm a business major and, while…

First blog of the new internet schedule and I have nothing to say.
Well, I could go on about Torchwood and Doctor Who, especially because Lindsay's started watching Who, but that is all I talk about in real life. I don't think anyone wants to read any more about them.
But that's really all that goes on in my life. Nothing else occurs consistently or has enough of an impact for me to consider it important enough to write about. Sometimes this makes me wonder about my…

I need to get my internet life on some sort of schedule again.
I once read a fanfic (haha, surprise) that presented an idea about human dependence on the internet and mobile technology that I believe is starting to come true, even though most people don't consciously think about it.
In this fic, Jack Harkness is talking about his childhood in the 51st Century to his lover, Ianto Jones. He starts talking about how they live in very close-knit family groups with very close…

Everyone should have a playlist called Stupid Songs To Dance To.
You know we all have those songs. Someone will be scrolling through your audio library, looking for something to play, and they'll find one of them. 'What the hell is this?' they ask, laughing. 'You listen to this?' And they will proceed to mock you for the rest of the car ride/night/month.
And there's nothing you can really say to that. You know the band is bad and you cringe every time you actually listen…

I love sharing the stuff I find with people. Part of this is probably because I don't enjoy many things in "real life." I don't like parties or going out- the things that most people my age like to do. I like to sit inside with a book or a movie or a good video game, and that's how I relate to the world. It's how I relate to other people. Everyone loves a story and I'm determined to find all of the good ones.
But I think I like sharing these stories so much because not enough people…

I don't know why it has taken me so long to become a fan of Neil Gaiman. He's brilliant and hilarious and sarcastic and all sorts of awesome.
And he writes great books.
The older I get and the more open the world become (hello interwebs), the more I like books. Not because the books are getting any better, but because I now have access to the authors who write them. It started with John Green and the vlogbrothers' channel, but since then I've started reading the blogs of…
