today is the day i get caught up. caught up on my life, my blog, my laundry, my friends, my art, my housework. all have been backshelved for the past 4 weeks or so due to my obsession & involvement in the animation festival and television animation conference that took place from September 17th to the 21st here in my lovely city.

this is one sad davehead.
hence the reason the first howevermany songs on my playlist are reorg'ed to be dmb centric.
to have seen him play in 2 of his final shows this year seems like an eerie, true, gift. what hindsite.
he unexpectedly died today of injuries he obtained earlier this summer, only days after superkez and i saw dmb play darien lake and toronto. wow.

as the beijing olympics approach i am sad to say i have to boycott them this time 'round. to all the athletes: i wish you safe trips and all the best of luck in your respective events. show them what you're made of; you deserve it. i, however, will not be tuning in for even one single second of coverage. no highlights. no video montages to bon jovi or coldplay tunes. nothin.

as i continue to paint and draw on a daily basis, since April 10 to be exact, i find my need for the perrrrfect pencil increasing. one dear gerd, E. has asked about smudge resistant pencil, so when you finally get to paint your new favourite sketch for your new multi-media materpiece, it doesn't all turn grey and mushy.
