A few months ago, I wrote a blog about the Soap Opera All My Children, and how it was ending.
In the last legs of the show, the writers have ventured into everything from the incredible to the incredibly stupid. Amanda has cancer (probably from sleeping around), J.R has fallen off the wagon (again), and Tad has fallen in love with his brother's ex wife, who he really only married to keep her from getting deported. Really, this is a slow week in Pine Valley. In fact, compared to…

When did all the young men go?
When did the world that we know change?
The day since they left have been long;
The world that they entered was strange.
To where have the children marched off?
What beast stole their interest away?…

Have you ever wondered what it would be like
To walk in the footsteps of giants
Or to make trails of your own
Trails for future generations to travel
Have you ever believed
Believed in a master greater than man
In a power…

So the other day in Geography, I was sitting around, thinking about the test we were about to have, and BAM!
A thought rolled across my mind that had nothing to do with school anxiety. I find this always to happen when I'm stressed out, and it's usually welcome because I concentrate better afterwards. This thought was the title of the blog, 'Why Do We Walk With Our Eyes Closed?"
I kept thinking about how it sounded really amazing and inspirational, but I had nothing…

I suck at doing what I said I would do! For everything I say I will do, I always fail at least part of it. For instance, at the beginning of the school year I decided I would write one short story every week, and post it on Friday. Well I tried to do it, and I got most of the stories written. Unfortunately, I missed November for NaNoWriMo, but that's not what I failed at the most. Two weeks into December, I stopped typing out stories. If I do this again, there will be much advanced planning.…

All right, before we get started this is a follow up post from my last blog, which you can see here:
http://nerdfighters.ning.com/profiles/blogs/zombicorns-and-charity
So if you followed that link you might have an idea where this is going. If not, it isn't really important. In short, after reading Zombicorns I had this idea that we should try to get it published for charity (meaning…

After finishing this novella, I found myself wondering why John called it bad. I soon found out that a lot of people agreed with me. This sparked a wonderful idea.
I think that John should publish Zombicorns as a charity novella. Kind of like Chartjackers, only with a novella. Because the story was only released for charity, it seems fitting.
(and maybe it could be illustrated).

So, this was a long time coming. I finished it shortly after christmas, and then completely fell out of any want to type it out. So now, without any further ado, the fourth instalment of a story about a man visited by himself from the future so that they can save the world from shapeshifting aliens!
Voices of the Past
Part Four
A Distant Scream
The screams were unlike anything Frank had…

So, let me start off by saying I'm a bad person and that while I haven't yet typed out any of my latest stories, I do have them written.
And now for the real purpose of this blog.
So, this being my first year of highschool, I've only had five teachers so far. However, term 1 is done in a week, and I (along with everyone else in my period four class) absolutely love my music teacher. I can't buy her a gift, because it's highschool and I have too many teachers to do that.…

So. This is going to be interesting (if only to me).
Two days ago, my dad and I had a Lord of the Rings marathon, and I had an idea. It was during the ride to Helm's Deep, when Gimli talks about Dwarf women that this started to form, but I only brought it up during RotK. Are there female Orcs and Uruk-Hai?
This sounds like an unimaginably strange thing to think when you're about to watch a Warg battle, but after watching the movies at least a dozen times, you pay less…

The last story I have on hand right now, and then I'll stop spamming nerdfighteria for the rest of the week :)
This is another unsatisfying title, and I'm open to suggestions. I really couldn't think about anything except the title of the next story, which will be A Distant Scream.
Voices of the Past Part Three:
A Walk in the Woods
Frank awoke to the smell of cooking bacon, and sat up. A woman was humming in…

Yes, the second instalment. This was posted a week and one day late, but was shortly followed by the third. Again, I don't like rereading my work to transfer it, because for one I find it reads like a bad fanfiction, but mostly just because I have better things to do (like work on next weeks piece).
Time and Travel
“You need my what?” Frank gaped at Jon, unable to process what he had just said. “What do you mean, you need my help? How…

I'm guilty of not posting in a long time, and there's no excuse for it. None at all. Forgive me.
I took November off for NaNoWriMo and instead posted poetry for that month (or at least tried). When I returned, I began a series of stories called Voices of the Past which I'm still in the middle of, and which I'm still having trouble transferring from paper to hard copy. So, without further ado, The Unwelcome Guest, The first instalment in voices of the past. (If you…

As a humungous fan of supernatural, I was a little disappointed when I watched the premiere of season six. However, now that the season is warming up I'm so excited. After watching the third epi today (The Third Man) I must say I'm really happy about the direction they're taking plot now. I was a little confused when theu dropped the whole Samuel story, but I'm sure it will pick up again soon. The third episode was good in quite a few ways, and contained something that we only started seeing…

Soap Operas. Everyone has watched one at some point or another. Every one of them has moments where even the most devoted fans think, "What are they doing?"
My mother watches All My Children. This show has been on the air for more than twenty years, and only the most devoted fans can follow this show. Soap Operas are shows with twisted plots, overlapping story lines, repetative deaths, and held together with over all sociopathic characters who every once in awhile go crazy and kill…

Detective Logan Haulowait stood in the middle of the bar called Emiel, staring in disgust at the gore spattered across the floor and up the walls. The pungent scent of defecation and decay filled the air around him, making clear thought all but impossible. Taking short breaths, he pulled a small canister out of the pocket of his worn,…

Well, that's what this week's story is going to be anyway, whether it sounds good or not. At the same time that I am writing this for the PfW, I am also going to be handing it in for my english assignment. unfortunately, the copy I put online will be much better than the one I hand in, mostly because There's a five page maximum for this assignment (ad you can't write a good murder mystery in just five pages!!!) I'm extremely excited about this one, and I feel ready for it! I've been stocking…

First of all, I wanna say a big happy birthday to Charlie Mcdonnell! I would have done a song, but I can't play ukulele!
Second, I finished This week's project a few hours short of the due date. Without further ado, 'Why?'
I stood on the trail, taking a deep breath. Behind me, my friends cheered, laughing. I…

Lately, a thought has been on my mind, and I can't seem to stop thinking about it: Nerdfighters should be represented on wipeout.
I know that I would, unfortunately you have to be a certain age to participate, and I'm still a few years shy of legal voting age (also, I think you might have to be an american citizen). But it would be so awesome if nerdifghters had a representitive to spread the word of our mission to decrease world suck! so, any takers?
