There and Back Again - My Crazy Roadtrip to Michigan

Sorry, I couldn't help the reference to The Hobbit. I suppose you will all forgive me? Here's a video chronicling my trip. The greetings are to the other people involved in the blog project I'm a part of. You can find out more about that at our Ning page. I didn't bother with much footage of John and Hank because my sound was kind of wonky and I'm too tired to go through and p… Continue

Movie Review: Cloverfield

Warning: There will be spoilers ahead. If you haven't seen the movie and don't want to know what happens, you shouldn't read this review.

I've been looking forward to seeing this movie since I first saw the trailer last July when it was shown before Transformers. You see, I really like sci-fi movies and I really like bad disaster movies (The Day After Tomorrow, The Core, Deep Impact...just to name a few) and since this looked like it was going to be a mixture of the two, I… Continue

5 things that make me a Nerdfighter...

  1. I read...a lot. Most of what I really like is either fantasy or literature, both of which seem to be very Nerdfighter-ish genres.
  2. I have my own happy dance. Actually, I ha

I've been wanting to vlog, but I can't afford a video camera...

...so I suppose that I'll just stick to the good, old-fashioned blogging.

Wait a second, when did textual blogging become old-fashioned? My brain just exploded a little bit.

Let's face it, while videos are awesome...I like words better. I don't know, maybe it's my English major-ness or the fact that I like books more than people. While I'm sure that it's easier in some ways to get certain points across in video--tone and innuendo for instance--I think that there's something to… Continue
