This is the first blog post for my Love month event at my personal/book blog, Fluttering Butterflies. I would love if you came by and had a look. Even more so if you comment or follow my blog!
Already I've posted loads of book reviews as well as other fun posts and guest posts on the topic of love/romance/crushes. I'd love to see more of a nerdfighter influence/point of view to the event! …

I've already written about my favourite books that I've already read in 2011, and I thought today I'd take a really quick look at some of the books that I can't wait to read during the rest of the year. This list is of course just a fraction of the books I'm really excited about. Please feel free to share the books that YOU most want to read!
(There are so many books out there to be excited about. I've chosen 10 mostly contemporary YA/teen books that I'm excited about, but…

Hello nerdfighters! Welcome to another edition of 'what I've been reading lately' - I think it's an excellent way to talk about books I've loved lately and I'd LOVE to hear what you've been reading and enjoying/hating as well. Please do share in comments.
I'm currently reading the latest by…

Sometimes I read a book and whether it's set in another city/country, or the talks about travel to a foreign city/country, something about it just makes me feel itchy to travel and see new things. Hopefully this will be the first of many posts that discuss the book that make me want to travel. Today, I'll be discussing road trips.
I love a good road trip. I'm sure that I've mentioned before how my earliest and fondest memories of growing were the road trips that our family took on a…

Hello nerdfighters! This post today will come to you in three parts.
Part 1 - The current blurbing book club selections are both Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. Lots of people have been sharing their love for The Book Thief in…

Yes, I have been a pretty fail Books ningmaster of late. Some of you may have noticed that I haven't posted a blog in ages, I haven't updated the reading page and I haven't chosen a new blurbing book club book. I'm really sorry for all of that.
I've been pretty busy of late with other responsibilities in my life. The length of my ningmastership has gone on a lot longer than I'd originally expected - I always knew that things would be start getting tough to juggle once my…

Recently, I've read three really great books. They were well written and constructed, and I've been thinking about them a lot, even after I've finished them and moved on. I love it when that happens, when books make me feel. When they make me think and reconsider my beliefs or opinions. These books really burrowed into my brain and won't let go just yet. I thought I'd talk about them today and hopefully you guys can share the books that burrowed into your brains as…

Hello nerdfighters! I don't know if you've heard, but here in the UK a great number of libraries are set to close and in America, Borders has announced the closure of hundreds of bookstores. I find this to be very sad news indeed. Ever since I was really little, libraries have been my 'happy place.' Whenever I felt out of place at school, picked on or bullied, I'd escape into the nearest library and into a favourite book. I used to suffer from panic attacks when I changed schools (which…

Hello nerdfighters! Sorry for the minor delay in posting this, I am very ill. But still, I bring you bookish news, links and a new monthly feature. Let's start with the bookish news. It's already mid-February, and the blurbing book club is still reading Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. It's a really fun, sweet and romantic read, I hope more of you will pick the book up and…

Now I've been an unashamed bookworm my entire life. I've skipped parties and dates to read my book, and sometimes even at parties or dates I've been known to keep a book in my handbag, just in case. Reading is just a part of who I am, and I'm really bewildered sometimes when it occurs to me that not everyone is as book crazy as I am.
What I love most is when I see other bookworms around. Meeting bookish people in my real life, talking to bookish people through my own blog,…

Hello nerdfighters! It is now February and time to start reading our next blurbing book club selection, which is Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. John Green highly recommended it and loads of nerdfighters have been buying it, reading it and loving it. Now it's time for you to discuss it in the official forum thread and BLURB IT. Thanks so much.

Hello Nerdfighteria! Have you ever met any of your favourite authors? I had the great priviledge to meet two of MY favourite authors this week. It made my life and I can't stop talking about it... which is obviously why I'm writing this post. I just wanted to know if anyone else had met cool authors. And if you haven't, who would you most like to meet?

As you may know by now, January's blurbing book club selection this month is Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. I really hope that you're doing everything that you can to find a copy of this book, read it and discuss and blurb the book in the dedicated discussion thread. It's a really wonderful book with a huge fanbase and I've been loving every single comment I've read about it in the…

Sometimes I write these blog posts assuming that everyone is on Twitter like me and follows lots of bookish people. I know that this isn't the case (but WHY isn't this the case, hmm?!), but I'm sure at least some of you were aware that yesterday was a special day for those interested in YA literature. It was the announcements of the American Library…

I'm finding it a little hard to wrap my head around the fact that it is already 2011. Last year went by so quickly. And with a New Year, people start making resolutions and goals for the upcoming year. And I was just wondering, what're your reading goals for this year? It could be reading a specific number of books, or picking up certain types of books, reading books you always meant to read or reading more widely of a favourite author's books. Whatever it is, let us…

Hello Nerdfighteria! I have not been around much these last few weeks and I don't seem to have the same amount of time as usual to devote to my Tuesday blog posts - All will return to normal in the new year! :) A few people answered my recent poll about the blurbing book club selections. What I've decided to do is go with Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card for January as it's a book that seems to be widely read/loved/available and it's a good start to the year. And for February, we will be…
