Nerdfighters

That's for those of you who didn't navigate the wilds of omnictionary to find the covers of my new book, Paper Towns, which comes out on October 16th.

As you can see, Paper Towns will have two different covers. You can read whichever you prefer (or you can choose randomly on the grounds that books ought not be judged by covers). Dual covers aren't unprecedented (as Harry Potter nerdfighters will remember), but I'm really psyched about these, and I hope you like them, too. (Or at the very least that you like one of them.)

In other news: Nerdfighters, thanks for being so awesome.

Also, to be discussed in comments: Did Hank get pwned by Google's April Fool's Day joke? Or was Hank just participating in the joke. Anyway, no one can ever again doubt Hank's Nerd Credentials after seeing how excited he gets about Mars.

i would be really sad, if i were hank...
i mean, who doesn't want another chance at earth?
anyway, it excites me to see how you'll really have to decide about paper towns when you read it yourself, since it's diverse enough to have two completely opposite covers.

Of the two covers, I definitely prefer the blue filtered one, though I'm kind of with Jane in that I do kind of still prefer Alan's cover. Its not that I don't like the chosen covers but I've never been a big fan of what you might call "people covers" but all the same I still can't wait for Paper Towns to come out... oh October 16th why do you have to be so far away :(

Kris-- I had the same thought. This cover duality must give us some hint about the main character of the book. a) female b)sometimes pensive and maybe a little depressed, sometimes happy yet a bit sly.... c) there's light and dark in the book.... what else>?> nerdfighters, what are your predictions about the book JUST from the 2 covers????

I like both covers. I might just end up buying both, lol. I'm so excited for Oct. 15th! I've been counting down in my msn username XD 194 days to go!
