So delafayette left me a challenge: five hitherto unknown facts about myself. After tracking the trail of cause and effect to here (http://nerdfighters.ning.com/profiles/blog/show?id=1833893%3ABlogPost%3A157568) and then further back to here (http://nerdfighters.ning.com/profiles/blog/show?id=1833893%3ABlogPost%3A137714) , my detectoring powers suddenly failed me and I came back here.
Aw geez. The problem in this is not the facts, its the aftereffects. But we'll come to that in due time. So:
1. I have a soft spot for spelling which is either outmoded and wrong, or just outmoded. For years, I spelled 'because' as 'beacause', and laughed when I found the word 'sopha' in the required novel on my English curriculum.
2. I have a love of writing, which I have somehow funneled into fanfiction. Somewhere on the internet, there's a Warcraft movie plot synopsis that runs to around a page of printed Times New Roman size 12 font, and it is mine. Most of the other efforts next to it are half that.
3. I have 'the ear', as they say, for music. This means that I have managed to pick up the cello, the trumpet, can sing in three octaves, and will copy any accent you place within earshot, provided it's in English. Standard Canadian? Yorkshire? Waterford? Easy as anything. The downside of this is that my own Cork accent has degraded through years of television to the point where I barely sound Irish. But I still sound more Irish that Fionn Regan!
4. I owe almost all my online activity to my cousin Angela Ryder in Vancouver. Coming up on two years ago, she sent me an invite for Bebo. I accepted, set up a rudimentary page, and promptly forgot about it. Later that year, Bebo started to become popular in my college and I reactivated the page. From there I started spending more time on the internet, and, well, here I am.
5. I am possibly one one of the laziest and quietest human males ever to walk under their own power and speak.
Now, the aftereffect: I'm not good at chain letters of any sort. I always have the worry that I'll hit someone who has already responded to it. So, I'm including the subclause that anyone I tag with this who has already been tagged, you don't _have_ to do another one. Just post a link to that blog entry on my page to prove it.
