i finally got me some Lush shampoo bars. friends went to belfast and got me some as there is no shop in the republic and i did not want to order a whole bunch without trying them first. and it's a litle far to go to try one little thing.
they have a lot of cosmetics, but i wanted the shampoo bars because i have stopped using showergel and liquid soaps about six month ago and the difference is so amazing.
i have used the same bar of soap for six month in the shower and even though this is quite expensive stuff from the healthfood shop, weleda, that works out 1 euro a month.
i have a soap for my face only, again, rose soap from france, i have been using it for over a year, and it's still not gone.
so, it's a lot more economic but my main concern is the shipping back and forth of heavy bottles filled with soapy water and the recycling of those bottles.
so when i found out about shampoo bars i was jumping with excitment. the problem with washing hair with normal soap is the ph wich can be solved by rinsing hair with vinegar which is a little bothersome, especially if like me you mainly wash away from home.
the Lush shampoo bars have the right ph, they are3 simply dry. you rub them on your wet hair and believe me a little goes a long way and wash away.
they are available around the world, except ireland, and so far i can only say that i am looking foreward to trying more of their stuff.
