It's been a good year since I've watched LOTR, even though I have them, and they're on TNT at the moment. It makes me want to read the books again but I know I don't have time, and my book list is already too long as it is.

Anyway, I'm enjoying my obsession again, but my Mom has been depressed lately and decided to start drinking, so she's yelling at the TV. Mostly she just sees a character on TV and yells it's name. She screamed "TREEBEARD" for almost two minutes straight. She also keeps lecturing me on how different the books are from the movie.

I am well aware of all the differences from the movie and the book, thank you very much, drunk mother. I'll have you remember the nerdy high school girl that was your daughter who ranted and blogged about it for years on end while the movies were coming out. Remember the days when I chatted online for 4 to 5 hours every day about nothing but LOTR? I guess not, drunk mother...for you are drunk and can barely remember where you put your glass.

*sigh*

I'm no where near being totally against alcohol, but I'm worried about my Mom. She lost her job a few months ago and hasn't been able to find another one. She's been drinking more and more. I can understand it, and sometimes drunk mom can be funny...but now she's just starting to be annoying.
