This is an attempt to steer the advertising selection program. I figure if I say Bicycle enough times, it will start advertising for bicycles on this page.

Comment by KalaniH on June 1, 2008 at 8:14pm: We could attempt to sway the google ad gnomes with targeted references. Bike part manufacturers like Specialized and Blackburn have to advertise somewhere. Maybe the bike buiders like Felt, Cannondale, and Scott are better choices.

Also, I can't give anyone a hard time for riding into stationary objects when they were a kid. Especially since I've hit parked cars, trees and in one case and elk on a bike as an adult who should be more aware of these things. Although, I don't feel at all bad about hitting the elk since it didn't so much as flinch when I hit it and walked away without a scratch. I was not so lucky. :)

Comment by VT100 on June 1, 2008 at 10:28am: It might be that right now, there are no ads for bicycles looking for websites to plop down on. Maybe my random idea of "bicycles" was an unlucky guess. I can say that my gnome website has attacted lots of gnomish links. And Serinity gets ads for the DVD of the movie. So I think the idea has merit, but it is not perfect.

I should tell you all the story about how I rode my bicycle into a parked police car when I was a kid. Or how I rode my bicycle into a mailbox. (I swear it moved in front of my bicycle!)

Comment by KalaniH on June 1, 2008 at 12:33am: Well, this is the place to talk bicycles then. I've just got back into bike riding a couple of years ago. I was a big fan of mountain biking living in Utah, but after recovering from a back injury I've found that I prefer road bikes to mountain bikes. Believe or not I find I get less stress to the back on a road bike with no suspension than on a mountain bike with full suspension. I think it's mostly in the type of cycling. We'll have to see if this helps with the experiment. So far I've got "K9 Lifeline, Utah"
