Stress, thy name is Amanda.

Everyone has stress in there life. For some people, it's their job. For others, it's their significant other. And there are still those who have a category all to themselves, take your pick. For me, it's my job, my lack of significant other, and things like being a section leader that drive me up the wall.

My job requires precision, heart and no soul/tons of soul. One minute, I am a Russian Assassin, ready to kill. The next, I am walking through the park daydreaming. And after that, I am ranting at my section for mouthing off during a performance.

No one every said life as a Band/Choir hybrid was easy. And now, I think I may actually have OCD, no joke. It's a serious disorder and my gut is telling me I am not just paranoid this time. Not to mention, every time I make a bitty mistake, it is blown out of proportion. And Jazz choir auditions are Thursday!

Ugh...So I suppose this is my way of saying, I'm sorry if I lash out at anyone this week. I live in a stress pool (not sess pool, you morons. STRESS!), but this week it's more like an ocean. so do me and you a favor and don't bug me about itty bitty problems.

I love you all and I can't imagine living without my great support system of friends, but sometimes, you underestimate me, are rude because you think you can get away with it, and you judge me unfairly. I'm not some dumb blond gullible band nerd. I am a strong confident Band/Choir Hybrid. I am a Drum Major and a Jazz choir hopeful and a leader and I refuse to let anyone judge me because they think they are better than me.

So there, I said it! Oh...and don't make fun of my voice. I may be loud and shrill, but my voice is my livelihood and I really don't make fun of anyone else's voices or anything, so just don't. It kills me to hear you say it, because for a singer, that is the highest form of ridicule I know. Ah, rant is over. I am sooooo tired now...Goodnight.
