Nerdfighters

A surprise house guest appeared at my door day before yesterday. He's a recent immigrant to our shores from a former French colony. His entry was sponsored by our friends, the Geeks O'Nature of Bishop, CA. He makes a lovely house guest. He's very low maintenance, doesn't take up much room and his enthusiasm is infectious. He has told me some of his story and I'll share what I know so far with you. Here is his photo ID. His story will continue in "Comments." Click on photos for enlargement. And now you have to go to the last page first and move forward to get the story in chron order. Don't love that change, ning.

YAY!!! W. Confused!!!!! The brothers together in the Pacific Northwest! That camera will turn up, gerd. It's under all the wrapping paper. Or it got slipped into the flour bin. You know how that works with frazzled holiday prep. I'm sure those boys have a lot of catching up to do. (Hope there's not an inordinate amount of sibling rivalry. Didn't realize you'd be hosting a whole passle-o-Peeps.) Can't wait to see those photos. Hooray!

Yay! Senpa and Oseepa TOGETHER? Does it get more awesome than that?

Oseepa Peep arrived last weekend. I got a few pictures, but have since lost my camera. He arrived hungry, which was excellent timing as my neighbor had just arrived with a warm loaf of cranberry orange bread. Osee (as he has asked us to call him) lead the charge with a fork, I got a knife and that bread was delicious. Since then he's been helping around the house just a bit with the bathroom remodel. I seriously hope that the camera resurfaces so you can see the guy in action. I mean, you'd never catch him wearing plumbers pants, but the guy knows his way around with a wrench.

Today there was a knock at the door and a package from W.Confused...you guessed it! Senpa waltzed right through the door! He was very surprised, but also delighted to find Osee had made his way to Port Townsend. It was a joyful reunion and they sit now talking fast and furiously, drinking coffee and having a bite to eat. I have no idea what language they are speaking, but clearly they have a lot of catching up to do.

Please all, light your candle to St. Jude patron saint of lost causes in hopes that my camera appears so that I can capture some of these magical moments.

Note to tfom. It looks like engine room grease but it's really a little black acrylic paint rubbed on. :-)

OK, first may I just say that I hate that the ning masters changed these comments to read from the bottom up. It ruins our story. Well, not RUIN, but it makes it more difficult to read. Like reading from right to left. That having been said, I HAVE NEWS.

A knock at my door. Looked through the peep hole. Nothing. Went about my business. Another knock. Nothing through the peep hole so I thought it was kids and opened it real quick and said BOO! But noooooooo. Not kids. Oseepa Peep! OMG! It was Senpa's younger brother! Also a world traveler, it seems. Tramp steamers mostly. Note on his name: same source as his older brother - Immigration got Oseepa Peep from Aussi Pas Pipe (also not a pipe). Get it? Immigration didn't - never does.

He was surprised to hear that Senpa has been delayed in the Dead Marshes. Senpa had been communicating with his bro throughout his travels, apparently. Oseepa was just so enthused, he came to my house to retrace his brother's steps. Here he is watching the slide show.

When I told him we hadn't heard from him in quite a while I'm afraid he lost his sang froid a bit. He CAN be a little scary. He has tatoos! There's a skull on his right arm and a snake skeleton on his left arm. Yikes.

But I think he's more bark than bite. I'm finding that he's just as much of a mush as Senpa. All I had to do was show him this picture for him to put down the knife.

Anyway, he doesn't seem to be worried about Senpa. "Are you completement fou?" he asked me. "Mon frere can soooo take care of himself." See there's another crack in that tough guy sailor facade. He can sound a little like a valley girl at times. (And I think his tatoos are stick-ons, shhhhh.) Anyway, he says he feels it his DUTY to carry on with Senpa's itinerary. (Duty, my butt, he was planning on going before he heard about Senpa's disappearance.) So he will be off to see thefirstofmany tomorrow or the next day. He brought some rum with him as a hostess gift so we may polish that off and then he can recover tomorrow. Maybe fly on Tuesday to the great Northwest. Oh oh. I hear some singing about a dead man's chest coming from my kitchen so I think he's getting a head start on the rum. Talk later, me hearties!
