I have called this a blog because i have no idea what i am going to put into it... i know, i really am one to plan ahead.
I think i am going to talk about stereotypes, racism and sexism. Why not begin on a cheery subject? Now, republicans don't like gay or black people, lets face it, thats why they lost the last election.
What you have just witnessed is stereotyping. i know not all republicans hates blacks or gays. Some are decent people, hell, most only do it because they want to keep things the way they are, they do not want change. Others may have their vote directed at the right side because they are religious. I do not know, seeing as i am a lefty.
On the flip side, republicans think that democrats do not care for tradition, want to all have gay sex and to go around stabbing pregnant women in the womb. Now, people are moaning about democrats saying "Allow me my first ammendment to say that i think it is icky". Now, i havnt got much of an opinion on free speech. Sure, it should be allowed. But if some free speech makes someone else feel like they are imprisoned in a country that loathes them, that freedom of speech has really just turned into a cage of discrimination (I think i am going to have to dump these metaphors).
The point is that people can have their own opinion. But we can keep these opinions to ourselves. For example, my girlfriends friends are total and utter bitches that should be put down because they are simply not very nice people. But i havnt told them this. Not directly... Hmm, maybe that was not the best example i could have used.
Back to my original point that was derived from my original point, we need to free people before we can free speech.
I would like peoples opinions on this idea, this blog turned out to be an equal rights rant.

Next time (the first time) I'm in the UK, let's meet up for a day of man sex and fetucide, whaddaya say? Oooh, and we can finish it off by stealing from the poor defenseless rich people and using the money to buy fish and chips for the evil hobos in the street!

hey there, lets give the republicans a little more credit. maybe a couple of them actually joined the party because they think spending freezes and no taxes will get us out of the economic crisis or surges will help us 'win' unwarranted wars. who knows. but heres a little story to go with your free speech rant: a couple days ago, in the US, an asain student was being taunted with anti-asian slurs and punches. now, said asian student was a tae kwan doe black belt, so the situation ended quite differently than it began. however, the asian students family was going to move due to all the anti-asian opinions they heard in the school. when your right to free speech infringes on another person's comfort and belief in themselves, you are abusing that right.
