awesome nerdfighter
so I work in a bookstore...best job ever!!! Anyway
A couple of weeks ago I was shelving in Young adult (YA as we call it) and this kid comes up to me and asks if we have looking for alaska. I answer "why, yes. We also have paper towns and will grayson will grayson" We slowly find out that we are both nerdfighters - then he asks me "so can I put nerdfighter paraphernalia in john's books?" I then responded with "As a manager I have to say no you can no deface the books in any way. But as a nerdfighter I can say that i'm not always back here and can't always see what you are doing in this section!" ^_^

Is adding a note defacing the book, seems more like "value added" to me? Also, KITTEN!
