Nerdfighters

Hey guys,

Someone came into the chat a little while ago linking a small project a few people are doing over on ustream.tv. So I looked into it. A group of teenagers have been playing Pokemon for the last few days live in order to raise money for the Japanese Disaster. They have been going non-stop for a few days and will continue to do so until 7PM (GMT) tomorrow.

After watching this for about half an hour I find it hilarious. They are looking for donations of any size to raise as much as possible. You can make a donation to have a Pokemon named after you among other things! At this moment in time they are playing through Pokemon Crystal with Yellow to come. So if you have the time please visit their project and donate what ever amount you can both to keep them going and for the people of Japan! They have smashed their target of just over £2000 but why stop there? Hopefully with our help they could get well over £3000 by 7PM tomorrow!

So visit http://www.pokemon4life.co.uk to read about what they are doing and how you can help!

Thanks for reading guys!

Huh, didn't know about this. Thanks for the info. Anyway, these charity gaming marathons occur fairly regularly from at least a few different groups. Most of them can be read about at http://www.gamemarathons.com/. Definitely a place worth checking out and, though it might be shameless, I'll go ahead and plug the coming marathon the group I work with is doing in June. Information will soon be up over at http://returnersgaming.blogspot.com/.
