First blog post….ever. That I actually mean to keep up.
What I hope this post will be about: my obsession with food, cooking it, presenting it, and most of all, eating it.
Now, before anyone gets really concerned, I’m not addicted to food. I’m perfectly healthy and all that jazz, I have a passion of cooking and eating.
There’s something about how food connects to people. Its more than just a means of survival, we have taste buds so we can enjoy food, I fully intend to push those taste buds to the max.
I eat an exceptionally healthy diet, learning from my mom how to adapt recipes, substitute ingredients, and discover ways to eat what you want without any guilt.
But I’m not here to lecture anyone. I’m here to tell all of Nerdfigheria my undying love for food.
1. I’m not a vegetarian. I love meat, but I won’t try to convince you to become an omnivore if you don’t try to convince me to be a vegan
2. I’ve got nothing wrong with a little butter and sugar. Carbs make life a whole lot better.
3. I have a sibling with severe nut allergies, so almost everything here will be nut free
And most of all
4. I’ll eat anything once
Give my pig’s brain, cow testicles, sea urchin, deep-fried twinkies, durian fruit, and I won’t say anything is gross until I try it once.
I’m no Andrew Zimmern or Bobby Flay (although I might want to be….) but as a highschooler, living in America. Prepare to join me and my confessions of a foodie.
