|This one's special. I love the Wizard of Oz, and the costumes are great and everything, but there's something else about this picture. Probably without realising it, Sarah Jane posted the 30000th picture on the Ning! Congratulations!!!|
|Even though Nerdfighters have eaten more than 200 peeps for John, he still needs to eat 102 more peeps. That's 850 grams of peeps apx., of which about 85% is pure sugar. That's sickeningly much. Don't let John kill himself! Eat a peep! I ate three peeps at last weeks gathering. How much peeps have you eaten already?|
|This just made me laugh.
Edward and Edwina Fishpants, have a pretty hard time of it...
|You can't really see much on this picture, so click on it to see it bigger. Good thing I looked at it twice, otherwise I would've dismissed it. Oh how I love Nerd(fighter)s :D|
|Again, you can't see much on this small preview. You should click trough and watch it at it's full size. This is a mosaic of all the thumbnails of Brotherhood 2.0. This brings back so many good memories. And to fairly new Nerdfighters: Go watch them all, you won't regret it!|
|This graph pretty accurately displays the level of awesomeness in the books of a few succesful and more succesful authors. It's a bit out of date (Add Tales of Beedle the Bard, Breaking Dawn and Paper Towns), but the point is pretty much the same. Hoo Ha Nerdfighters!|
|This is the same drawing of John as in the banner at the top of this page (and pretty much the rest of the ning), but if you look closely, you'll see that it's made out of text. In fact, the entire drawing is made out of John's biography. Yay! Who's doing Hank's? (Does Hank even have a biography? If not, you can use this wikipedia draft)
Edit: Nerdfighter Michelle has provided a Hank version, located here!
|What would Captain Picard do? He'd find a funny hat and put it on his head! Oh yeah, that's what Captain Picard would do!|
Have you hugged your calculator today? I know I have! How many times has a calculator saved your ass during a math test? Have you ever thanked it? Has it ever asked anything in return except for a change of batteries once in a while? No?
Show some appreciation for your calculator!
(I just hugged mine for giving me the random page on which I found this picture!)
I was about to say that that was all, but I haven't talked about the NEA yet!
It was Awesome! I met up with a few Belgian Nerdfighters in Antwerp and then we took the train to Amsterdam. You may have heard that there was a guy that looked like John sitting at the window in De Jaren. Here's the picture, see for yourself. Due to bad timing, me and a friend had to run (a lot) to be in time for John. My foot still hurts a little :) I uploaded a bunch of pictures, there's an album here.
If you have pictures of the Nerdfighter gathering, please leave a comment, and I'll add them to the album. If you have videos that weren't mentione by John on Sunday, also leave comments. (Which reminds me that I haven't uploaded my own footage yet. Maybe I'll add the link here later. Must finish blog now.)
Kenny is giving away a free signed copy of Paper Towns (in Dutch!). In case you missed the blog post earlier this week.
(Thanks to The Yeti for taking this picture!)
As usual, if you have Awesome pictures to share, you can always leave a comment on my page or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
(Leave the word "photo" somewhere in the subject line, that makes things much much easier :)
