Interesting States: An Introduction

Hello, I'm Kat. On my tumblr, I've done a topic called Interesting States. In it, I'd share an event in American history that isn't usually taught in the classroom. My reasons for doing started with the Peshtigo Fire, which was the same day as the famed Chicago Fire of 1871, yet the Chicago Fire is more well known... and honestly it infuriates me because the Peshtigo Fire was far bigger and far more deadly. So, I set out to tell the world of the lesser known facts of American history and the interesting parts of it. 

But sadly, the topic hasn't done well on Tumblr, and I've decided to bring it over here and see what people think, because eventually down the road when I have the money for good video editing program and a camcorder, I want to take this onto YouTube. No, I know I will never be as great as Crash Course, or as funny, but to share information and teach is what I love to do.
