Ok, so I'll be straight. This is me advertising a really really good author. He has really changed my life (excuse the corny line). Before I read his book I, unfortunately, hated English. But now... Now I love to write. In fact, you can read my (slightly amateur) writings somewhere on the internet... But that's another story.

Any way, back to the reason I'm writing.... This Joe Craig guy (who you non-British folk probably haven't heard of) is a great author. His books are filled with so much action it was flowing off the pages. His, awesome, books are aimed at the teenage market (which in my opinion ranges from kids 10 to 14 years old... Give or take a a few dozen months). His books perfectly satisfy the action cravings of his market whilst still having characters that are easy to relate too.

So, time to stop talking about the author, and more about the individual books...

The series he writes is called the 'Jimmy Coates' series. Yes, I have seen the relation ship between the initials of the author and he character. Maybe some day I'll explain how that is a pretty 'awesome' accident.

Jimmy Coates - The books revolve around this boys life. At a tender age of 11 Jimmy must deal with the fact his whole life is a lie. Everything he knows isn't real. When one day two men (with green stripes on their suits) turn up wanting him he realises something is wrong. Slowly he discovers he can do extraordinary things. A horrifying truth awaits Jimmy as he slowly discovers the reason he can do things humans shouldn't be able to do, is that he isn't 100% human at all. But he is 100% kick-ass...

NJ7 - A fictitious government agency that pursues, and designed, Jimmy Coates. They want him as a weapon. He wants a human life. But NJ7 have more power than any other government agency. With more secrecy than MI5 and more karate skills than Mr.Miyagi (karate kid reference!)they are hard to escape.

So, those are the two teams, who will win in the final destination. Read and find out... His books are cheap and brilliant. So if you're a parent of an 8 year old or 14 year old, you know what to get them this coming Christmas (or depending on your religion and country, this fall)...
