Megan Whitmer had a good day, John can make it better

I met Megan Whitmer on twitter a short time ago and we hit it off over her love of John's novels. She was an aspiring YA novelist and shared my passion for John's works (her favorite is Katherine's). She is a great person, and long story short, she found out yesterday her book is getting published. John, as you know, there is no more exciting news (other than "honey I'm pregnant) than finding out you got a book deal. She announced her news via a video that is saturated with joy and will bring tears to your eyes and make you laugh at the same time even if you don't know her.

I post this here for two reasons. First, so that Nerd Fighteria can rejoice in the triumph of a wonderful and talented person. And second, so that John will hopefully contact her to congratulate her. It may be the only thing that could make her week any better.

I have been a Nerd Fighter since Hank was eating Peeps on the street and my personality keeps me on the sideline, watching and admiring this community and being thankful there are people like you who my little girl will come in contact with as she ages. I have, however, come out of the shadows for this purpose. The only gift I can give Megan, other than buying her books, is my crusade to get her a kind word from her hero. Please help me.

I am sorry that I am not very good at the blogging, viral video thing. I still own a record player and more than one tape deck.
