It has come around once more, the time to select the next fresh faced batch of Ning Masters to make the Ning safe to use and pleasant to stay in! So why am I blogging about it you ask? To apply of course! Despite the cheery tone of which I open this blog I am deadly serious about this, allow me to explain...

I will begin by telling you a little about myself. My name David J, Dave to most, good to meet you if I had not had the pleasure thus far! I am 21 and work near enough full time, as well as currently act as Chat Moderator here in the Ning. I consider myself friendly, especially to new users who I love to help find their feet in the Ning. Nerdfighters to me is a second home in a sense, I feel utterly at ease here and love the diverse range of people you meet in day to day activities. Owing to the fact I love this place, I want to protect it from people who would bring misery or trouble to those who come here to find a place to socialise, make friends, discuss all sorts of topics and just be happy. The chat in particular I am amazingly fond of, it is where I spend an awful lot of my spare time, I have made many friends here.

As for experience I have had modding/admin work in the past. I helped a friend of mine who once ran a site dedicated to Pokemon, which had a base of 300 users. Not the same amount of users as the Ning certainly, but every user was active in the chat, so it took a lot of time and work but it was certainly worth it. This lasted for about a year and a half before the website had to shut down due to increased stress on my friend. I have also taken the position of Chat Moderator on the Ning for the last few months which has been a fantastic experience for me. Being able to guide and help users more than before has give me an even greater sense of purpose and fulfilment.

I hope to be able to take it one step further, and not just guide the chat, but the peoples of the entire Ning!

For a site full of nice and supportive people I think David is up there with the best. I don't quite know how to sum him up in words but I guess he is a pretty good representation of everything this site is meant to be, and he is made of awesome. David is a fantastic ningmaster, he is easy to approach if there are any issues and is always so amazingly nice. The Doctah for Ningmaster!!!

David is a truly bodacious dude of awsome, as a chat ning master he has been inclusive to newbs while also being equaly savy to those of more veteran status. He has been fair with spammers heeding warning before further action being taken. There has only been 1 accident of jugment that i have seen involving David where he excluded an reletivly inocent person for spamming, but after realising his mistake he made the suspention as light as possible not restricting the nerdfighter to a great extent. Overall David is a very kool dude and an awsome Ning Master and deserves to remain such, also he's a rather dandy nerdfighter
