Obama's speech last night

My favorite part:

And that is why I have ordered the closing of the detention center at Guantanamo Bay, and will seek swift and certain justice for captured terrorists. (Applause.) Because living our values doesn't make us weaker, it makes us safer and it makes us stronger. (Applause.) And that is why I can stand here tonight and say without exception or equivocation that the United States of America does not torture. We can make that commitment here tonight.

which isn't to say I didn't really like a lot of what he had to say, but I really really like living in a country that does not torture.

OK, I just finished watching it on www. whitehouse.gov and it is SO much more powerful when spoken. I loved the whole darn thing, especially when he calls us to task on practicing what we preach. Hooray.
