Okay Here Goes... Let’s Chat!
Herro there, my turn I do think.
My name is David known to most as Dave or the Doctah, and I am one of the two Ningmasters who preside over the running of the chat! My job is to make sure that everyone in the chat has a fun and entertaining time talking about whatever they fancy without being disturbed or insulted by trolls, spammers and so on. The chat is constantly active, which is why I try to spend as much time there as I can, and when I am not, I have made it so I can be available most hours of the day. I believe that the Chat, like the Ning, should be a place in which everyone can welcome and safe, however if there is something which bothers you or you wish to discuss you can mail me here NingmasterDoctah@gmail.com. If you have any other worries and can not get in touch with the relevant Ning Master, I will be happy to assist, either by direct action or advice, or preferably pointing you in the right direction to someone who has more knowledge.
If people do not know what those terms above mean here are the basic descriptions:
Troll: A troll is a user who comes into a place, be it Chat, Groups or Forums who comes into these places with the sole purpose of insulting people and causing problems, because for some reason, they seem to get a kick out of it.
Spammers: To be a spammer is to post the same message or link or concept over and over again which proves to be annoying to other users. Someone can accidentally spam, and that is fine if it was a mistake. But a spammer would do it repeatedly.
Now onto a little about myself outside of my role is a Ningmaster. I am massive anime fan so i will happily launch into a three hour conversation about elemental techniques in Naruto or anything else! I am also a bit of a video game fan with particular leanings towards RPG's, action and zombie themed games (Resident Evil series, Dead Rising etc). I work full time in a shop (nothing exiting) and work as a mystery shopper for a rather large chain of nightclubs ^^. Oh, I love to read too no matter the genre or plot usually. I can't think of anything else to go here, but I would be happy to answer any questions you have!
