post traumatic election syndrome

Do you find yourself watching the news, reading the paper, and suddenly realizing that things are probably going to be OK? For years, as America has slid into a deep, dark hole, I watched with horror. Now, I watch, and think "At least now we have a president who is interested in solving the problem. Maybe I can just relax a bit". Which is great, but a little disorienting. The incompetence of our government was as steady as sunrise in the east. Now I think there is a chance that Obama will actually make things better. Or at least try. And now I am spinning. At least a little. Not that I'm complaining. I'm much happier this way. Just seems a little different. All I'm saying.

i feel ya vt, and we had many elections here, municipal, federal, one after the other....and now our fed gov looks on the verge of collapse, argh---trauma for sure, lol

I'm gonna copy this request and paste it wherever you have been sited in recent memory. LAly needs your address if you still wish Senpa to visit you for Xmas. She's getting anxious. If I have noticed anything about us gerds, with the exception of NG, we all have a tendency to get anxious. AND we all have a tendency to empathize with each other (this includes NG). So please send LAly your mailing address ASAP. She's traumatized by the time it took to get from my house to Evangeline's house (all my fault for not including Senpa's story in package) and wanted to send Senpa on his way today but is still sans Ottowa address. SVP, relieve her suffering.

i wonder how letterman is going to replace that 'great moments in presidential history' piece i so look forward to nightly. programming just got a lot harder for dailies... you know, he could probably keep running gwb pieces for the next 4 years, with all that shelved material just waiting... i'm sure the messiah will make a few blunders... how can he not? but wow. still excited up here!
