Alright, I'm posting this blog entry on the Ning because seeing how this is my favorite community and there have been some incredibly creative and intelligent people raising money lately-
That was a run-on sentence already and I'm moving on.
My question- I am completing my final year of the Art Institute of Dallas next December and to put my loans on hold and study at the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada for a year, I have a LOT of money to raise.
Parents can't pay since they already put me through THIS school. And avoiding the topic of WHY I'm going and how important it is to me and how I can't put it on hold for another year or so, I need to know of any good ideas you all may have. The study permit requires I have the tuition money, PLUS 10,000 CA money when ENTERING Canada so that they know I can support myself.
The tuition probably won't be too much of a problem- I'm up to my eyeballs hunting for scholarships.
But as for the 10k, I'm currently looking at bursaries, grants, and more scholarships, however should I make 10k from that, it will take a TON of such things. So! Do you guys have any other ideas I can work with
I'm cyrrently a film student in my last year, so I don't have time for a job. May have an internship next quarter, but whether or not that will be paid is still to be decided.
Thanks a bunch, everyone.
