Reading a Book

It's been a long time since I last read a new book that was as good as the one I just finished. I'd forgotten how good it feels to finish a book like this. I'd forgotten how much words on a page can inspire a person to do things and to be things that they never were before. It's been too long since I've read a book that makes me laugh and makes me cry. It's been too long since I've read a book that makes me want to write something, read something, change my life, be something more, draw something, clean up something, make something, and just do nothing at all. I'd forgotten what it feels like to find something unexpected in a book that you really didn't have hopes for to begin with. I didn't hope to find anything in this book which wasn't the type of book that I normally read, but I am so glad that I picked it up in the end. Tomorrow I will hate myself for not putting it down until too late, but right now it feels so good to know that it's done.

It's been too long since I last read a book that made me hopefully and excited to read another.
