It is 10:20 on a Wednesday night, do you know where your children are?
Yeah...that's a baby smoking...
BUT LOOK AT THOSE EYES!
Okay, I have no idea what I'm talking about. I don't know where this is going. But I just looked on Pinterest because I was out of ideas, and I ran across this:
Wow....I can't really top that.
I know this is a short, lame, blog post, and it's pretty much just a collection of pictures. But after seeing that weirdly amazingly long text message I am at a lost for words. Utterly speechless.
After I posted the baby picture I was going to talk about parenting and my parents and life and whatnot. Today, I had the idea of talking about why I chose to go to USF and the crazy budget cuts and what I think about them. But...again I really don't know how to follow that.
So, today, I think is about pondering. Pondering life, and love, and the meaning of it all....
What posses people to share things on facebook, twitter, foursquare, or pinterest? I had a friend (Alec) who said that its all an attention thing. We're a generation of people addicted to attention and getting famous. Everything we post is a giant look at me sign. Like in this movie:
There's a line in there about being from "planet look at me look at me"
I don't know if I necessarily agree with that or disagree with that. Yes, when you post a status on facebook you want people to look at it and read it. You want attention. BUT, I think it's about more than that. People think the interenet is bringing us closer and pushing us further apart. You can have an entire relationship with someone without meeting them once....
But, everything I post isn't to get attention. I think its more to spread the emotional response that I got from it. Like with the iPhone picture. I want to know if people think the same thing I do about it. Did they find it thought provoking? Did they agree with it?
Once again, do we need someone to agree with us to realize we're not crazy?
I don't know, let me know what you think, so I can realize I'm not crazy.
Thanks for reading,
Steph
