singing in the rain

hi there!

This will be my first attempt to write a blog post, so bear with me.

There is one particular issue that's been on my mind today. I really like singing but as this is also known as making a lot of noise, I tend not to bother my house mates with it now I'm living in a student house. However, I still want to sing so as a solution I like to sing while I'm cycling to my university in the morning.
Today, my day started as having a good hair day. But, for those who know me, having a good hair day is almost always the same thing as having a bad weather day. And it indeed was one of those days today. So I got outside, unlocked my bike in the pouring rain and started cycling to school. I always keep quiet in the first two streets, because the houses of these streets are filled with grumpy old people who only refuse to die because they want to make other people's lives as miserable as they feel when putting in their teeth in the morning.
Anyways, after I've crossed the second street, I'm able to enjoy going downhill while wiggling my legs around to not only feel, but also look like a 4-year-old again. I also started singing along with Tich her cover version of Glad you came by The Wanted. (really amazing you should check it out!) I had an exam of listening comprehension Japanese today so I really was not in a hurry to get to school, when all of a sudden a boy was cycling next to me. He was clearly annoyed, not only because it was raining, but also because I refused to stop singing out loud. To add a bit more to his annoyance, I decided to increase my speed so he couldn't pass me. I LOVED it.
I love autumn because of its maple and cold nights and clear night skies and the contrast of a sun that's shining while it's still cold outside. This occasion, however, made me realize once again that a lot of people really hate rain. And realizing this, made me come to the conclusion I've made a lot of times before already. The fact that so many people get annoyed and upset by this simple yet wonderful happening of small drops of water pouring down and making things and people wet, is the same fact why I love the season autumn the most, and why I always will be singing in the rain.
